Come along with Dive HQ and learn the basics of scuba diving! You’ll be fitted with scuba gear before learning how to use it and taking part in fun underwater activities.

A special evening at Selwyn Aquatic Centre designed to help women and girls feel confident, comfortable and safe enjoying the pool.

Come down to the Aquatic Centre Saturday 19 September for a relaxed evening. All ages are welcome, whether you’re a confident swimmer or just getting started.

πŸ‘Ά Boys aged 5 and under can attend with their mother/caregiver

For ages 9–13 years, this beginner-friendly session is a great opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and have fun on court. The session is led by experienced Canterbury volleyball coach Kelsey, who has more than 10 years of coaching experience.

🏐 Social Volleyball Tournament | 11am–4pm
Grab a team of six and get ready for a fun day of social volleyball. With High School and Open grades, a minimum of three games and plenty of time on court, it’s a great chance to get your team together and enjoy the sport.

🌏 What started as a small community event with a handful of performers, cultural displays and a shared morning tea has grown into one of Selwyn’s most popular annual events, attracting more than 5,000 people each year.

To mark 10 years of CultureFest, we’re shining a light on some of the people behind Selwyn’s local hospitality businesses – and the cultures, traditions and flavours they bring to our communities. Their stories have crossed countries and cultures, bringing family traditions, recipes and a love of food with them to the communities they now call home.
