With the current dry conditions, we are asking everyone to take extra care when conducting controlled burns. Our crews have already responded to multiple incidents where controlled burns have escaped containment and spread into surrounding vegetation over the weekend. Dry grass, wind changes, and low moisture levels can cause fires to spread much faster than expected. Before lighting any burn, ensure conditions are suitable, you have adequate firebreaks and water available, and never leave a fire unattended.
