🚒🔥Earlier this month 5 Te Awamutu members participated in the United Fire Brigades' Association of NZ National Firefighter Challenge in Wellington!
Completing in both individual and tandem runs most of them made personal best runs competing against other competitors as well as some podium finishes! 🔥🚒

Well done to Pirongia Rural Fire Jodi Reymer defending her fastest female title with a smashing personal best! 🎖🔥🔥

Thanks for all the generous cash donations at Saturday's collection PAK'nSAVE Te Awamutu!
Just over $3,000 raised all going to Blood Cancer NZ. A kind local even tracked us down just after packup and surprised us with $150 donation for the cause!

All funds raised as part of the annual Firefighter Sky Tower Challenge in 12 days time! 🔥🚒

At the collection we met young Emi hearing about her Cancer journey!!
Emiya's journey

This is why we participate and climb - to help support families like Emi's, who was diagnosed at 18 months old with a blood cancer.

Blood Cancer NZ receives no government funding. With a vision to cure and a mission to care, they do amazing work, providing support when and where it is needed most.

Emi is now 4½ years old and been in remission for a year.
What does she want to be when she grows up? A firefighter of course!! 👨‍🚒🚒
