SECURITIES COMMISSION OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA (SCPNG) PARTICIPATES IN INVESTOR EDUCATION AWARENESS IN MADANG.

SCPNG participates in the Investor Education Awareness along with other government agencies and financial institutions in Madang Province on Tuesday, 19th of May 2026.

Facilitated by Center of Excellence for Financial Inclusion (CEFI) under the Young Minds Savings Campaign and in partnership with SCPNG, the investor education awareness is a compliment to the Young minds savings campaign in madang Province, which the regulatory agencies along with financial institutions are visiting schools in Madang starting today the 20th of May 2026 and will end on Friday on the 23rd.This is following a successful campaign held recently in Mt Hagen, Western Highlands Province in March 17 - 19th, 2026, where over 8000 people that involved public servants,teachers and students who were taught how to use the financial products to manage, save and invest.

Participating agencies includes: Centre for Excellence and Financial Inclusion, Securities Commission of PNG, Bank of Papua New Guinea, Credit Guarantee Corporation , Treasury Department and other financial institutions especially the Commercial banks, Microbanks and the superfunds( BSP, MiBank, Tisa Bank, NCSL ,Nambawan Super and National Banking Corporation).

The team are opening the young minds savings campaign today on the 20th of May 2926 at Sagalau primary and Good Shepard Secondary School, followed by Graged primary and Holy Spirit Primary on Thursday and conclude on Friday with Kusbau primary and Tusbab Secondary School.

Alongside the financial awareness and bank account opening to students ,teachers will be given a separate sessions on investments.
