City Librarian Easter Wahayna-Pablo, together with the staff of the Baguio City Public Library, visited Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori, Inc. on July 28, 2026, as part of the libraryโ€™s Library Outreach Program.

The team conducted a library orientation on BCPLโ€™s online services and official website, introducing school personnel to the various digital resources and services available to support learning, research and information access.

As part of the initiative, the BCPL team also assisted in installing the libraryโ€™s website on every computer unit in the school, making it more accessible to learners and encouraging the use of reliable library resources in their academic activities.

The Baguio City Public Library held its weekly Saturday Storytelling at the Childrenโ€™s Park, featuring engaging stories, lively songs and dances and interactive activities for the young participants.

The session was facilitated by BCPL staff, BCNHS Grade 12 students, Baguio Kindasan Lions Club, District 301-C, and author Jeneffer Palacsa-Baltazar. Along with the storytelling activities, the BCNHS students conducted an art activity with the children, encouraging creativity and active participation.

Also, author Jeneffer Palacsa-Baltazar with District 301-C Governor Ralph Yambao, Region Chair Ray Olarte, and Baguio Kindasan Lions Club officers and members distributed copies of her book to the participants, giving them an opportunity to take home a story to enjoy and learn from.

We deeply appreciate the continued support of our partners, volunteers, students, and community members who help keep this meaningful program alive, bringing joy, creativity, and learning to the children of our community.

This program also aligns with Pansa-nopen: Baguio Cityโ€™s Circular Economy Initiatives, as the activity included songs and lessons that encourage children to appreciate the value of waste-to-resource practices and environmental responsibility.

Local author Noela David Felipe donated two copies of her book, Untangled: A Life Beyond the Fog, to the Baguio City Public Library on July 27, 2026. The books were formally received by City Librarian Easter Wahayna-Pablo.

Untangled: A Life Beyond the Fog is a personal and courageous account of confronting painful memories, understanding the roots of pain, and discovering the strength to move forward. The book explores themes of healing, self-worth, faith, resilience, self-discovery and renewal, reminding readers that healing is not always a straight-line journey.

Noela David Felipe is a wife, mother, public servant and law student whose journey has been shaped by both her professional aspirations and personal experiences. Currently serving in the Judiciary, she believes that true public service is rooted not in titles or positions, but in serving others with integrity, compassion and purpose. Through her writing, she shares reflections on healing, self-discovery and the quiet strength found in learning to untangle lifeโ€™s deepest wounds.

The donated books are now part of the libraryโ€™s collection and are available for reading at the Local History Section of the Baguio City Public Library.

The Baguio City Public Library sincerely thanks Ms. Felipe for sharing her work and personal story with the library community and for helping make local literature accessible to readers.
