𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮-𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) proudly celebrates Para-Paraan (Finding a Way Through) as it continues its journey from the 10th Sorok Short Film Festival, where it won Best Film, to Cinemalaya 2026, where it is an official finalist.

Through the lived experience of Kat, a wheelchair user, the film sheds light on the everyday barriers persons with disabilities encounter and the constant adjustments they are often forced to make in spaces that remain inaccessible.

Previously featured during an NCDA event highlighting Women with Disabilities, Para-Paraan continues to bring meaningful conversations on accessibility, representation, and inclusion to the women with disabilities that attended the program.

NCDA extends its congratulations to Mae Chan Li and Dr. Katrina Hernandez for this inspiring achievement. We are proud to see this powerful story reach the Cinemalaya stage.
