ADVISORY

Relative to the conduct of the Inter-School Sports Festival 2026, the following games scheduled on September 5, 2026 are hereby SUSPENDED due to the prevailing weather conditions brought about by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat):

Athletics • Baseball • Football • Softball • Paragames

All other games may proceed as scheduled, unless a subsequent announcement or directive is issued.

All athletes, coaches, officials, and other participants are advised to prioritize safety and exercise necessary precautions, particularly when traveling to and from the game venues.

Tournament Directors are advised to inform all concerned participants and ensure compliance with this advisory. Please be guided accordingly.

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 4

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

The measure is in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and poor air quality in the NCR caused by haze from severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

Localized cancellation or suspension of classes in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives.

𝐅𝐄𝐌𝐒𝐇𝐒 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝, 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐊𝐈𝐌𝐎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Two learners from Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School (FEMSHS) earned awards in the Hong Kong International Math Olympiad (HKIMO) 2026 Final Round, held online on August 22, 2026.

Charize Joy Macadangdang won the Gold Award, while Suzette Ashley Sebastian received the Silver Award, both in the Senior Secondary Group.

They were coached by Queeny Joyce F. Sebastian, Master Teacher II, under the leadership of Pepsi P. Duldulao, School Principal II.

The Schools Division of the City of Batac congratulates the learners for bringing pride and honor to Batac City.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗰 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

City of Batac, Ilocos Norte – September 2, 2026 — DepEd Batac, in partnership with the City Government of Batac, opened the Inter-School Sports Festival 2026 at the Imelda Cultural Center, City of Batac.

The opening program gathered student-athletes, coaches, school officials, and sports stakeholders from the different schools in the city for the formal start of the annual sports competition.

City Mayor Hon. Mark Christian “Markee” R. Chua led the formal declaration of the opening of the festival. Also present were City Vice Mayor Hon. Albert D. Chua, Schools Division Superintendent Anselmo R. Aludino, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Arnel S. Bandiola, members of the City of Batac Sports Council, school heads, and technical officials.

The activity featured the hoisting of banners, lighting of the urn, oath of amateurism, and oath of technical officials. Devy John G. Singson, National Team Coach of the Philippine Taekwondo Team, served as guest speaker.

Sports events will be held in different playing venues across the city, including the Ferdinand E. Marcos Stadium, City of Batac National High School Poblacion, Imelda Cultural Center, Mariano Marcos State University, and other partner schools and facilities.

DepEd Batac reaffirmed its support for school sports as a platform for discipline, teamwork, excellence, and holistic learner development.

BATAC CITY, Ilocos Norte — The Schools Division of the City of Batac (SDCB) spearheaded the launching of Project NC4ALL and the celebration of National Technical-Vocational Day at the City of Batac National High School Poblacion, reaffirming its commitment to expanding opportunities for educators and learners through quality and industry-responsive technical-vocational education.

A highlight of the activity was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) represented by Dir. Ramon Evan T. Ruiz, and SDCB, represented by SDS Anselmo R. Aludino, formalizing their partnership to strengthen technical-vocational education and provide learners with greater access to skills training and pathways toward further education, employment, and entrepreneurship.

Batac City Mayor Mark Christian “Markee” R. Chua, Dr. Jackelyn R. Aguinaldo, DepEd Region I Supervisor-In-Charge in EPP/TLE/TVL/TechPro, TESDA Provincial Director Sharon S. Estigoy, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Arnel S. Bandiola, together with representatives of partner Technical-Vocational Institutions (TVIs) and other members of DepEd Batac and TESDA families witnessed the MOA signing.

The celebration also featured a tour of exhibits showcasing products and outputs of schools and community partners, highlighting the skills, creativity, and entrepreneurial potential of teachers and learners. The induction of the Division TLE officers likewise reinforced the division’s efforts to strengthen the implementation of technical-vocational programs.

Through Project NC4ALL, SDCB continues to build strategic partnerships that equip teachers and learners with relevant skills and open pathways toward productive and sustainable futures through national certifications.
