In pursuit of developing a more progressive and inclusive Marinduque, a 3-day Strategic Development Planning Workshop was conducted, as spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Marinduque under the leadership of Governor Mel J. Go, which reflects the administrationโs commitment to strategic and inclusive development.
This significant undertaking gathered key provincial officials, municipal representatives, national government agencies, provincial government offices, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and other sectoral stakeholders to craft the Marinduque Strategic Development Plan (SDP) 2026-2031, a roadmap that will guide the provinceโs growth and transformation for the next six years. The SDP shall also become the foundation for identifying and prioritizing short-term (3 years) interventions, and those that will require legislative support to ensure effective implementation.
๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ผ ๐. ๐๐ผ outlined his development priorities and aspirations for the Province of Marinduque, emphasizing the need to improve healthcare systems and social service delivery, modernize infrastructure, and promote sustainable tourism and investments that generate livelihood and employment opportunities. His vision is anchored on the principles of transparency and good governance.

Held from October 14 to 16, 2025, at the MARELCO Hall in Ihatub, Boac, the planning activity was spearheaded by the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) under the leadership of ๐๐ป๐ฃ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ . ๐๐๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC).
With collective vision and coordinated action, Marinduque is set to advance towards a stronger, more vibrant, and future-ready province.
