LOOK: 1,419 PREGNANT DAIRY CATTLE FROM AUSTRALIA ARRIVE IN THE PHILIPPINES

The National Dairy Authority (NDA) has imported dairy cattle again for the first time in three years. The aim is to grow the country’s animal inventory and raise local milk production.

The animals are expected to contribute 5.9 million liters of milk in 2027. The herd of 1,419 cows is projected to grow to 2,527 head once their offspring are counted.

Through the NDA’s stock farms and animal dispersal program, the offspring will be distributed to qualified dairy farmers and cooperatives to help grow their livelihoods and production. Among the beneficiaries are 176 individual coconut farmers under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), which is carried out in partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA).

The NDA says it will keep strengthening the local dairy industry, with the goal of higher production and better livelihoods for Filipino farmers.

A STEP CLOSER TO BRINGING GOVERNMENT SERVICES CLOSER TO OUR PEOPLE

As the author of the resolution authorizing the Provincial Governor Mujiv Hataman of Basilan to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), I am grateful to see this initiative move forward toward the establishment of an NBI Clearance Center in Basilan.

This resolution is rooted in a simple objective: to make essential government services more accessible, convenient, and responsive to the Basilan community.

Our people should not have to travel outside the province just to secure an NBI clearance. With this initiative, we hope to bring the service closer to our constituents, saving them valuable time, effort, and expenses.
This is what public service should be—identifying the needs of our people and turning them into concrete solutions.

PEOPLE’S GOVERNOR MUIIV HATAMAN, ISINUSULONG ANG NBI CLEARANCE CENTER SA BASILAN

BASILAN — Isinusulong ni People’s Governor Muiiv Hataman ang pagtatatag ng NBI Clearance Center sa Basilan upang mas mapalapit sa mga residente ang serbisyo ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Ini-refer sa kaukulang komite ang kahilingan ni Governor Hataman para sa isang resolusyon na magbibigay-awtoridad sa Provincial Government of Basilan na pumasok sa isang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) kasama ang NBI para sa pagtatatag at operasyon ng clearance center sa lalawigan.

Ang kasunduan ay isasagawa kasama ang NBI na kinakatawan ni Director Atty. Melvin A. Matibag, habang lalagdaan din ng provincial government ang kaukulang Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

Sa pamamagitan ng panukalang NBI Clearance Center, mas magiging madali at accessible para sa mga Basilanense ang pagkuha ng NBI clearance nang hindi na kailangang bumiyahe pa palabas ng lalawigan.
