MORE FAMILIES BENEFIT FROM PRO-POOR ECMP UNDER PBBM's EXPANDED . More informal settler families (ISFs) in various parts of the country benefit from the pro-poor Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP) as , through the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), continues to expand access to secure homeownership under PBBM's flagship Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
In a series of awarding ceremonies across different regions recently, hundreds of families moved closer to securing legal ownership of the land where their homes stand, reinforcing the administration's commitment to lasting security of tenure.
In Solana, Cagayan Province, 77 families from the Ibay CMP Homeowners' Association, Inc. in Barangay Gadu received cash assistance for the acquisition of a 1.1-hectare property occupied by their community. The awarding was led by DHSUD Regional Office 2 Director Marvin Feraren, alongside SHFC and LGU officials.
Another ECMP milestone was in Cordon, Isabela, where more than 134 families of the Amianan CMP Homeowners' Association in Barangay Sagat also received a check as land acquisition assistance.
In Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City, more than 200 beneficiaries of LK Yuman Homeowners' Association, Inc. Phases 1 and 2 got cash assistance to finally acquire their land. The awarding was led by DHSUD Negros Island Regional Office OIC-Director Elenita Paulina Cañete and SHFC Bacolod Branch Manager Elmerado Viernes Jr., alongside LGU officials.
In Barangay Recodo, Zamboanga City, 115 members of the Maria Navarro Homeowners' Association, Inc. ended 17 years of wait to acquire the land they called home after receiving a check from DHSUD Regional Office 9 Director Rey Niog and SHFC Zamboanga Branch Manager Gina Lumbre. Also present during the ceremony were Zamboanga LGU officials.
Meanwhile, in Barangay Plaridel, Santiago City, Isabela, more than 220 member-families of the Plaridel Village CMP Homeowners' Association, Inc. also benefitted from the cash assistance for land acquisition extended by DHSUD and SHFC to accredited associations. Plaridel Village became the 25th ECMP project to receive land acquisition assistance since the program's re-launch last year. The awarding was also led by DHSUD RO 2 Director Feraren together with SHFC North Luzon Vice President Jones Tomas and LGU officials.
To date, DHSUD and SHFC have approved 47 ECMP projects nationwide, benefiting more than 8,100 families.
These milestones across different regions reflect the sustained rollout of the Expanded 4PH Program, as DHSUD and SHFC continue to strengthen security of tenure and provide more Filipino families with safe, affordable, dignified homes.
