128TH ARAW NG KALAYAAN. officials and employees join the whole nation in commemorating the 128th Independence Day highlighted by the flag-raising ceremony and wreath-laying at the Rizal Monument, and the Parada ng Kalayaan at the Quirino Grandstand on Friday.

Led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, this year's theme, "Ang Kalayaang Pinapangarap," reflects the collective aspiration of Filipinos for a better future anchored on unity, shared responsibility, and genuine opportunities for all.

In his message, President Marcos Jr. underscored the importance of remaining united, choosing what is good for the nation, and continuing to love and protect the Philippines. He emphasized that freedom is not only inherited but must be nurtured through everyone's actions and sacrifices for future generations.

As the government agency responsible for the management of housing, human settlements & urban development, DHSUD, under the leadership of Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, commits to advancing the dream of every Filipino family for safe, decent, resilient, and affordable homes, recognizing that access to dignified shelter is among the foundations of a free, empowered and progressive .

OVER 1K BENEFICIARIES RECEIVE LOT TITLES UNDER PBBM's EXPANDED 4PH. More than 1,100 individuals in Pampanga and Bataan finally receive their Transfer Certificates of Title (TCTs) under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino ( ) Program on Thursday after decades of waiting, providing them with renewed hope and inspiration.

Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling and Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) President and CEO Federico Laxa, led the awarding of titles in Sta. Rita, Pampanga, along with LGU officials as part of the government's continuing efforts to strengthen community-driven housing initiatives through the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP), implemented under the administration's flagship Expanded 4PH Program.

Among the recipients were 116 member beneficiaries (MBs) of the Virgen Delos Remedios Homeowners Association Phase I and 199 MBs of Phase Il in Barangay Dila-Dila, Sta. Rita, Pampanga; 13 MBs of St. Rosary Village Homeowners Association in Barangay Del Rosario, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; 9 MBs of Bagong Diwa Homeowners Association in Pampanga; and 5 MBs of Bataan Holy Land Homeowners Association in Bataan.

Secretary Aliling emphasized that the awarding of land titles represents more than the transfer of ownership documents, but the realization of their dreams also to secure a place they can truly call their own --a vision of President Marcos Jr. under the Expanded 4PH.

"Sa ilalim ng Expanded 4PH Program, hindi lamang tayo nagtatayo ng mga bahay at komunidad. Tinutulungan din natin ang ating mga kababayan na magkaroon ng katiyakan sa kanilang paninirahan. Ang pagkakaroon ng titulo ay nagbibigay ng seguridad at dignidad sa bawat pamilyang benepisyaryo--kaya ating pinalawak ang 4PH, alinsunod sa utos din ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.," Secretary Aliling said.

Joining the DHSUD chief were Senior Undersecretary Eduardo Robles Jr., head of the Expanded 4PH Project Management Office, and other DHSUD and SHFC officials.

PRIORITIZING HOMEBUYER PROTECTION. As part of its commitment to protect homebuyers, the -Regional Office 4A successfully conducts Day 1 of its two-day mass conciliation activity at the Rizal Coliseum in Calamba, Laguna, bringing together homebuyers and developers from across CALABARZON area to resolve pending complaints and concerns through dialogue and mediation.

Forming part of the Department's Zero Backlog Program, the initiative aims to provide faster, more accessible, and cost-effective dispute resolution services while strengthening consumer protection in the housing sector.

A total of 121 cases were scheduled for hearing and conciliation on the first day alone, giving parties the opportunity to reach amicable settlements and address longstanding concerns in a collaborative setting.

The activity continues on its second day, with another 120 cases expected to undergo conciliation as DHSUD remains committed to ensuring timely case resolution and responsive public service. The activity was led by Undersecretary Odilon Pasaraba and Director Ling Rigor.

WHAT'S NEW IN THE HOUSE. In response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive for the immediate mobilization of government assistance following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck parts of Mindanao on Monday morning, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development ( ) has ordered the implementation of a moratorium on housing amortization payments and the activation of its regional shelter clusters.
