𝐃𝐇𝐒𝐔𝐃-𝐍𝐂𝐑 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐉𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇. This June, the Philippines marks Judiciary Month, celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Supreme Court.

Declared under Presidential Proclamation No. 1265, s. 2026, the observance calls on government agencies, local government units, the private sector, and civil society to support and partake in the commemoration.

Established on June 11, 1901 through Act No. 136 of the Philippine Commission, the Supreme Court has stood as a pillar of justice first led by Chief Justice Cayetano Arellano.

In line with this milestone year, the Court unveils a series of activities under the theme: “SC: 125 Years of Tradition and Innovation.”

𝗗𝗛𝗦𝗨𝗗-𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗞𝗮𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗮 𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development – National Capital Region (DHSUD-NCR), in partnership with the Commission on Population and Development – National Capital Region (CPD-NCR), successfully conducted the Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar entitled “KaTropa: Kalalakihang Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya” on 09 June 2026.

The seminar provided DHSUD-NCR personnel with a deeper understanding of the KaTropa advocacy, highlighting the important role of men in promoting responsible parenthood, family planning, health and wellness, gender equality, and shared family responsibilities. Discussions emphasized the value of being responsible fathers, supportive partners, and active contributors to family and community development.

The activity forms part of DHSUD-NCR’s continuing efforts to promote gender-responsive governance and support initiatives that contribute to stronger families and more resilient communities.

A strong earthquake has struck off the coast of Sarangani this morning, and a tsunami warning is now in effect across several coastal provinces in Mindanao.

I have directed all relevant government agencies to act immediately.

The Office of Civil Defense and the NDRRMC are now coordinating disaster response and monitoring across all affected areas. The DSWD has been directed to pre-position relief goods and ensure that evacuation centers are ready and operational. The DPWH is on standby to assess damage to roads, bridges, and critical infrastructure, and to clear routes needed for rescue and relief operations.

I am also ordering the suspension of classes in all levels across affected areas in Mindanao until further notice. The safety of our children comes first. DepEd will coordinate with local government units on this.

To our kababayans in the affected provinces, please heed the tsunami warning. Move to higher ground now. Do not wait. Your life is more important than anything left behind.

The national government is moving and we will not leave Mindanao behind. I am in constant communication with our regional offices and local chief executives on the ground.

Charting Marikina's Path to Resilience.

On 03-05 June 2026, the through the conducted the Enhanced Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (eCDRA) for the City of Marikina with the support of Marikina City Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO) and Philippine Red Cross through the Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Hazards (REACH) project.

The activity aimed to strengthen the city's understanding of its climate and disaster risk profile, equipping local planners and stakeholders with updated, evidence-based assessments to inform smarter, safer, and more resilient urban decisions. The three-day engagement brought together key local sectors to deepen risk analysis and translate findings into actionable development strategies.

With every risk mapped and every hazard understood, Marikina moves closer to a future where no community is left behind.

PUBLIC ADVISORY. Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006 dated 03 September 2025 and in observance of Independence Day, Regional Office NCR will be closed on Friday, 12 June 2026.

Regular office operations will continue from 08-11 June 2026 (Monday to Thursday), 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Clients and stakeholders are advised to schedule their visits and transactions during the said office hours.
