Forty-three (43) successful PNP Forensic Group applicants are set to begin their journey with the PNP after taking their oath during the Oath-Taking Ceremony for Newly Appointed Patrolman/Patrolwoman Recruits of the National Support Units (NSUs) under the Calendar Year 2026 Regular and Attrition Recruitment Program on September 16, 2026, at the PNP Transformation Oval, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.

PGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR., Chief, Philippine National Police, served as the Administering Officer and led the oath-taking of 946 successful applicants from the different National Support Units, including the 43 recruits assigned to the PNP Forensic Group.

PBGEN PIERRE PAUL F CARPIO, Director, PNP Forensic Group, welcomed the new generation of 𝑺𝑻𝑹𝑶𝑵𝑮 𝑭𝑮 personnel who will soon contribute to the delivery of scientific, reliable, and responsive forensic services.

The recruitment supports the PNP Focused Agenda, under the Management of Resources, by strengthening the organization’s human resources and ensuring that capable personnel are developed and deployed where their services are needed.

Joint Closing Ceremony of the Basic Scene of the Crime Operations Course (BSOCOC) Classes 01-007-FG-2026-003 and 004, successfully completed all the requirements conducted by PNP FG in close coordination with the School for Field Training and Technical Services, PNP Training Service, from July 7, 2026 to September 14, 2026, at Maringal Hall, Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City.

PBGEN PIERRE PAUL F CARPIO, Director, PNP Forensic Group, presided over the ceremony and personally presented the SOCO jackets to the graduates, symbolizing their readiness to take on the responsibility and challenges of crime scene operations as members of the 𝑺𝑻𝑹𝑶𝑵𝑮 𝑭𝑮.

During the ceremony, students who demonstrated exemplary performance throughout the training were recognized.

In his message, PBGEN CARPIO applauded the graduates for their commitment to continuously enhance their competence and capabilities as members of PNP FG. He emphasized that in crime scene operations, evidence is the body and soul of forensic work, while sound forensic principles remain at the heart of every operation. Every piece of evidence must therefore be handled with accuracy, integrity, and strict adherence to established procedures.

He also underscored the reasons behind the establishment of the PNP FG Command Center—to strengthen coordination, provide guidance and support to its personnel in the field units, ensuring that quality forensic services are consistently delivered across the country.

The Regional Forensic Unit–National Capital Region (RFU-NCR) underwent the Performance Governance System (PGS) Initiation Evaluation Process on September 11, 2026, at the Southern Police District Forensic Unit (SPDFU) Conference Room, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

Under the leadership of PBGEN PIERRE PAUL F CARPIO, Director, PNP FG, the activity was presided over by PCOL NERINO B DACIEGO, DDA and Chairperson, TWG, PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030, together with the IEP Team from the National Headquarters, PNP FG, which conducted a panel examination to assess and validate the progress and readiness of RFU-NCR in advancing its governance program.

The evaluation highlighted the cascading and operationalization of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 across organizational levels, ensuring compliance with governance standards, operationalizing performance scorecards, and strengthening personnel awareness and understanding of the PNP’s strategic direction.

PCOL ARLYN M DASCIL, Chief RFU-NCR, presented the key stage elements of the Initiation Evaluation Process, providing guidance on the requirements and performance indicators for the Initiation Stage.

Aligned with the Chief, PNP’s Focus Agenda, “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,” the activity reinforces the 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝑮 commitment to transforming strategies into measurable results, accountable governance, and quality forensic services the Filipino people can trust and feel.

PBGEN PIERRE PAUL F CARPIO, Director, PNP Forensic Group, conducted a coordination and operational briefing with the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team prior to its deployment to Coron, Palawan, in connection with the recent fire incident involving M/V June Aster in Coron, Palawan transpired last September 9, 2026.

During the meeting, PBGEN CARPIO discussed the team’s operational preparedness, coordination requirements, deployment arrangements, and responsibilities to ensure an organized and appropriate DVI Operational Flow during Search, Rescue, and Retrieval (SSR).

He emphasized the importance of readiness, teamwork, accuracy, proper documentation, and close coordination with concerned authorities, reminding the team to perform its duties with professionalism and compassion, particularly when assisting affected families and communities.
