Sotto opposes 2026 BSKE election suspension 🗳️

Senate President Pro Tempore Vicente C. Sotto III expressed his opposition to the proposed suspension of the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

“The Constitution provides that sovereignty resides in the people and all government authority emanates from them. Thus, the right of suffrage—a human right—must be utmost respected,” Sotto said in his Turno en Contra speech today.
