PRESS RELEASE | PPA marks Golden Anniversary of delivering real justice for all

The Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) celebrated its 50th Founding Anniversary and the 32nd Probation and Parole Week on 24 July 2026, commemorating five decades of restorative justice, rehabilitation, and community reintegration.

Under the theme “PPA @ 50: Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, and Shaping the Future towards Redeeming Lives and Restoring Relationships,” the milestone highlighted the agency’s achievements over the past 50 years and reaffirmed its strategic direction toward a more modern, responsive parole and probation system.

As part of the week-long celebration, the PPA conducted various activities to mark the occasion and promote its programs and partnerships.

On 24 July, the PPA organized the 1st PPA-National Capital Region (NCR) Criminal Justice Stakeholders’ Conference, which brought together criminal justice stakeholders to strengthen inter-agency collaboration.

Meanwhile, a Golden Fun Run for a Cause 2026 was held on 26 July in Bacolod City to support community outreach and social development initiatives.

The PPA vows to remain committed to its mandate as a devoted partner of the Department of Justice (DOJ) in providing efficient, timely, and compassionate justice by giving qualified offenders the opportunity for rehabilitation, renewed purpose, and safe reintegration into society.

Together, these initiatives reflect our continuing mission to empower our personnel, restore lives, and provide meaningful second chances for the clients we serve.
