organizing and Strenghtening the Philippine Statistical System and for Other Purposes" - creates the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) that shall comprise the PSA Board and offices on sectoral statistics, censuses and technical coordination, civil registration and central support and field statistical services. The PSA shall be constituted from among the existing personnel of the major statistical agencies engaged in primary data collection and compilation of secondary data, i.e., the National Statistics Office, the Technical Staff of the National Statistical Coordination Board, the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics, and the Bureau of Labor and Employment Statistics. The data produced by the PSA shall be the official and controlling statistics of the government and the PSA will be characterized by Integrity, Independence and Professionalism. It shall serve as the central statistical authority of the Philippine government on primary data collection and administer civil registration functions in the country as provided for in Act No. 3753, otherwise known as the Civil Registry Law.

The April to June 2026 seasonally adjusted palay production was recorded at 5.27 million metric tons, reflecting a 12.9% increase from the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted average farmgate price of palay for the same period was observed at PhP 22.14 per kilogram, a 4.2% increase from the previous quarter.

Seasonal factors, such as weather disturbances, pulled down the palay production. On the other hand, the degree of demand of traders pushed up the average farmgate price of palay.

Mula Abril hanggang Hunyo 2026, tumaas ng 13.2% ang produksyon ng itlog ng manok kumpara sa kaparehong quarter noong 2025. Kasabay nito, lumaki rin ng 7.3% ang kabuuang imbentaryo ng laying flock.

Samantala, bumaba naman ng 7.9% ang average farmgate price ng itlog, kasabay din ng pagbaba ng average retail price nito ng 1.6% kumpara sa kaparehong quarter noong 2025.

Alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 122 na inilabas ng Office of the President, suspendido ang trabaho sa mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan, kabilang ang Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) sa National Capital Region at mga itinakdang lalawigan, ngayong 06 Agosto 2026.

Gayunpaman, upang matiyak ang tuloy-tuloy na paghahatid ng mahahalagang serbisyo, ang mga kawani na may agaran at kritikal na tungkulin ay maaaring mag-report on-site. Mananatili rin ang skeleton workforce ng Civil Registration Service (CRS) Back-End Office at PBO upang masiguro ang tuloy-tuloy na paghahatid ng frontline services.

For April to June 2026, deseasonalized volume of production for hog πŸ– and cattle πŸ„ declined by 0.6% and 4.3%, respectively.

Meanwhile, chicken πŸ” and chicken egg πŸ₯š production increased by 0.8% and 2.4%, respectively, from the previous quarter’s seasonally adjusted production.
