深化台歐夥伴關係，共同守護民主與繁榮！🌏🤝🇹🇼
吳次長日前主持 國會幕僚第二團歡迎酒會，歡迎來自奧地利🇦🇹、捷克🇨🇿、法國🇫🇷、德國🇩🇪、義大利🇮🇹、立陶宛🇱🇹、蒙特內哥羅🇲🇪、波蘭🇵🇱、葡萄牙🇵🇹、羅馬尼亞🇷🇴、斯洛伐克🇸🇰及英國🇬🇧等12國國會幕僚來台交流。
吳次長表示，面對全球局勢變動與挑戰，台灣持續維持和平穩定，展現強韌的經濟實力與競爭力。台歐長期在半導體等領域建立緊密合作與產業鏈結，未來更應持續深化夥伴關係，共同維護民主、繁榮與安全。
訪團團長石馬泰（Matej Števove）也表示，歐洲與台灣共享民主、自由、人權及法治等普世價值，面對威權擴張與經濟脅迫，雙方更應深化經濟、科技及安全合作，並期待透過EVIP計畫持續拓展台歐交流與夥伴關係。
今年EVIP以「數位治理」為主軸，安排訪團與我國政府及民間單位交流，聚焦民主治理、民主韌性及數位政府等議題。透過跨國、跨領域的交流連結，持續讓台歐共同理念轉化為更深厚、更具韌性的夥伴關係！💪🇹🇼🇪🇺
Strengthening the Taiwan-Europe partnership to uphold democracy & prosperity🌏🤝🇹🇼
MOFA Deputy Minister François Wu hosted the second delegation of European parliamentary aides, from Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and the UK, under the 2026 European Valued Important Partnership (EVIP) program, for a welcome lunch recently!
In his address, Wu stated that, in response to the challenges resulting from the shifts in global geopolitics, Taiwan will continue to uphold peace and stability, as well as demonstrate economic resilience and our competitive edge. Taiwan and Europe have long worked closely across a range of sectors, including semiconductors, and established industry links, and will continue to strengthen our partnership to uphold democracy, prosperity and security.
The head of the delegation, Matej Števove, stated that Taiwan and Europe share the values of democracy, freedom, and respect for human rights and the rule of law. In the face of authoritarian expansionism and economic coercion, he added, they will strengthen economic, tech, and security cooperation. He expressed hope that the EVIP program will continue to expand partnerships and Taiwan-Europe exchanges.
This year's EVIP program is themed around digital governance, with participants engaging in exchanges with government and civilian organizations to discuss democratic governance, democratic resilience, and digital government initiatives. Through intergovernmental and cross-sectoral exchange and connections, we'll continue to strengthen cooperation with like-minded European countries, towards a deeper and more resilient partnership.
