🔥Wildfire Alert: Mile Marker 252 Fire Update | April 27, 2026 | 2:26 P.M.

We are aware of the wildfire start, currently located on the Mescalero Apache Reservation along HWY 70.

Our crews are actively responding in a coordinated effort alongside additional agencies. Air resources have also been dispatched to support suppression efforts. As more verified information becomes available, we will continue to share updates.

Starting on 3-30-26 (next Monday) the Road Dept. will be widening the dirt sections of 16 Springs up to the fire tower. Please expect delays.
