The Albany High School Sgt. Henry Johnson Battalion held its annual Promotion and Awards Night on June 8, 2026, recognizing the accomplishments, leadership, and dedication of its cadets throughout the year.

The ceremony celebrated one of the largest graduating classes in battalion history while also welcoming a new generation of leaders. Congratulations to our new Battalion Commander, C/LTC Claudia Corradino, who officially took command of the Henry Johnson Battalion.

Cadets were recognized with a variety of awards and honors, including Cadet of the Year, awarded to Jason Martinez for his outstanding leadership, and commitment to the battalion.

We also proudly recognized our ROTC Scholarship recipients, Nick Hartman, who will attend Syracuse University, and Bilal Jamakzai, who earned a scholarship to Siena College.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, promoted cadets, graduating seniors, and families. Thank you for another successful year of leadership, service, and excellence

On Sunday May 17th, Albany High School JROTC cadets from the Henry Johnson Battalion had the distinct honor of serving as the color guard at Maria College’s graduation ceremony. The cadets presented the colors, contributing to a meaningful and memorable celebration of achievement. They also received Dunkin’ gift cards and commemorative challenge coins.
