✅ Bus Mechanic
✅ Diesel Tech Mechanic

Behind every safe ride to school, every field trip, and every activity bus is a team working hard to keep our students moving safely each day. These positions play a crucial role in supporting education across McDonald County by helping maintain and repair our school bus fleet.

We’re looking for hardworking individuals with mechanical knowledge, diesel experience, and a commitment to student safety. CDL endorsements are preferred, and applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment focused on keeping our buses road-ready.

McDonald County Schools is excited to kick off Summer School 2026 this Monday, June 1 through June 26! Students will learn, grow, and succeed while enjoying fun activities, free meals, and great opportunities all month long! 😎

🍎✨ One last gathering… one BIG celebration! ✨🍎

Today, teachers and staff from across McDonald County Schools came together at the Performing Arts Center at McDonald County High School to wrap up an incredible school year! ❤️🖤

From celebrating years of service 🏆 to honoring retirees who dedicated 15+ years to our district 🎉👏, today was all about recognizing the people who make a difference in the lives of students every single day.

Staff also took time to reflect on the amazing accomplishments, memories, growth, and successes from this past school year 📚⭐

As another chapter closes, our teachers and staff leave encouraged, appreciated, and ready to enjoy a well-deserved summer break ☀️😎

Thank you to every teacher, staff member, bus driver, custodian, administrator, cook, aide, and support worker who helped make this year a success. ❤️

🥪☀️ NEW Summer Weekend Meal Program! ☀️🥛

McDonald County Schools and OPAA! are excited to offer the SFSP Summer Weekend Meals Program during summer school this June!

Families with children ages birth through 18 can receive:
🍳 2 Breakfasts
🥪 2 Lunches

Meals will be distributed curbside on Fridays in June:
📅 June 5, 12, 19, & 26

📍 Pickup Locations:
🏫 Noel Elementary
🏫 White Rock Elementary
🏫 McDonald County High School

✅ Open to ALL children ages 0-18
✅ No income restrictions
✅ Available to community families AND staff families

Parents/guardians must register using the Google Form link and confirm the names and number of children at pickup.

We’re proud to help support our students and families beyond the classroom by providing extra meals for the weekends during summer school! ❤️🖤

🎉☀️ SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER! ☀️🎉

The halls may be quiet for a while, but today across McDonald County Schools it was nothing but smiles, laughter, dancing, and celebration as students officially kicked off SUMMER BREAK! 😎🎈

At Anderson Elementary, the final day turned into one big party! 🫧💃 Students and teachers celebrated with bubbles, music, dancing, special visitors like the Redbird ❤️🐦, and even a dinosaur 🦖, all while excited kids counted down the minutes until summer fun officially began!

What an incredible year it has been across McDonald County Schools. ❤️🖤 Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making the 2025-2026 school year unforgettable!

✨ The Next Class of Leaders Starts Here: Outstanding Youth Recognized ✨

McDonald County Schools is proud to celebrate 18 incredible 8th-grade students who were recently recognized by the Lambda Chi Chapter of ESA International as Outstanding Youth during the May 19 8th Grade Promotion ceremonies.

Each junior high faculty nominated students based on their achievements and character. The students completed applications, wrote essays, and participated in interviews with ESA members. One student from each building was selected as the top recipient and awarded a plaque for their outstanding efforts.

All 18 students represent the very best of McDonald County, and we are excited to see all they will accomplish as they continue their journey into McDonald County High School this fall. ❤️🖤

🚧 A new view is coming to Mustang Stadium! 🏟️

McDonald County Schools officially broke ground Wednesday morning on brand-new grandstands and a press box at Mustang Stadium on the McDonald County High School campus.

The new west-side grandstands will include 1,485 seats along with handicap-accessible seating areas. It’s a major improvement for our students, families, and community. Fans will also enjoy a better game-day experience during evening events with the new home-side location. ☀️➡️🌅

The upgraded facility will serve McDonald County High School football, boys and girls soccer, and track and field events for years to come, with construction expected to be completed by the start of school in August. 🎉

District leaders say the project is part of McDonald County Schools’ long-range facility improvement plans. After completing storm shelter construction projects at all district school locations last year, the new stadium grandstands became the next major step in those plans.

District leaders, representatives from Nabholz Corporation, Paragon Architecture, and C4 Earthworks, and student representatives from football, boys and girls soccer, track and field, MC Pom, MC Cheer, and band were all on hand to help celebrate the historic event. ❤️🐴🪏

Thank you to everyone who helped mark this exciting milestone for McDonald County Schools!

Sunshine ☀️ + water slides 💦 + bubbles 🫧 + smiling students = a pretty great day!

Today, students across McDonald County Schools traded desks and worksheets for Field Day fun as we wrap up another amazing school year! 🎉

At Anderson Elementary, students spent the day making bubbles, racing through inflatable obstacle courses, sliding down water slides, playing kickball, tag, and so much more. From soaking wet shoes to nonstop laughter, it was the perfect way to make memories before students' last day of school this Thursday! 😄

Sometimes the best learning moments come from teamwork, friendships, and simply getting to be a kid. ❤️
