Last Saturday, deputies from the Apple Valley Station conducted a DUI checkpoint near the intersection of Yucca Loma Road and Havasu Road as part of our ongoing efforts to keep our community safe. Swipe through to see the results from the checkpoint and learn how these enforcement efforts help make our roads safer for everyone. While most drivers made responsible choices, deputies arrested 2 drivers for DUI and cited several others for license-related violations. Every impaired driver removed from the road is one less opportunity for a preventable tragedy.🚔

If your plans include alcohol or other impairing substances, please plan ahead. Designate a sober driver, use a rideshare, call a friend or family member, or stay where you are until it’s safe to drive. Thank you to everyone who does their part to keep Apple Valley’s roads safe. Your choices make a difference.🚦
