Congratulations, Butler High School Class of 2026!

Graduates, you have left the echoes of your voices, your laughter, and your joy in the hallways and classrooms of Butler High School. The tassels have been turned, the diplomas have been earned, and a chapter of your story has come to a close.

Now, you begin the next phase of your life and the opportunity to make your mark—your impact—on the world. As you move forward, carry with you the lessons learned, the friendships made, and the memories that will forever connect you to Butler High School.

Remember that success is not measured solely by where you go, but by how you serve, lead, and inspire others along the way.

And as you step confidently into your future, always remember:

You can, and you will.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. We are proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to seeing the incredible things you will achieve. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog.

Today we said farewell to some and “see you in August” to others. As we closed out another school year, Dr. Kelly’s message was both powerful and meaningful — take time to reflect on what you did well, ask yourself how you can continue to grow, and identify the areas where you can improve. Then create a plan to become even better.

As we reflect, let us always remember our WHY — the students we serve each and every day. Their success, growth, and well-being remain at the heart of all we do.

Thank you for your dedication, compassion, and hard work throughout the year. Now it’s time to rest, rejuvenate, and enjoy a well-deserved summer break. Wishing everyone a safe, peaceful, and joyful summer!

— Your Administrative Team,
Dr. Kelly, Mrs. Flores, Ms. Philips, and Mr. Willingham

Mrs. Butler… we are going to miss your laughter, your dance moves, and the positive energy you brought into every space! You always went above and beyond to ensure the work got done, but most importantly, you never lost sight of the WHY. If it was about our scholars, you were always going to show up and give your very best.

Even on your last day, after everyone was released at 2 PM, Mrs. Butler stayed late to help a teammate. That alone speaks volumes about your heart, your dedication, and the kind of person you are.

Your impact on Butler High School will never be forgotten. While your BHS family is going to miss you dearly, we are so excited for you as you begin this well-deserved season of retirement. You will truly be missed!

Butler High School is proud to celebrate two outstanding student-athletes as they take the next step in their academic and athletic journeys!

Kwamane Bridges has signed with Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, and Ahmaad Anthony has signed with Voorhees University in Denmark, South Carolina.

We could not be prouder of these young men and all they have accomplished both on and off the court. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence have represented Butler High School well, and we know they will continue to make a powerful impact on their college teams and communities.

While we will certainly miss watching them compete in the Butler gym, we are excited to watch their next chapter unfold.

And remember… anytime you can stop by, the doors and heart of BHS will always be open. You will always be welcomed home!

Congratulations to Mr. Cochran on receiving one of the most prestigious honors an educator can achieve — being recognized by his peers as the High School Art Educator of the Year!

What makes this award even more special is that it was voted on by fellow educators who understand the passion, creativity, dedication, and impact required to truly inspire students through the arts.

At Butler High School, we have the privilege of witnessing Mr. Cochran’s talent, commitment, and influence daily. From cultivating creativity in the classroom to inspiring students to see beyond limitations, his impact reaches far beyond art itself.

We are excited that those beyond the walls of BHS are recognizing what we already know — Mr. Cochran is exceptional!

Congratulations, Mr. Cochran! Your Bulldog family is proud of you!

The talent walking the halls daily at Butler High School is endless!

Our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Flores, asked student artist McKenzie Evans to bring life to one of her purses. She gave her only one condition: paint what you want!

McKenzie took complete creative freedom and transformed the purse into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The final product was absolutely AMAZING! We love seeing our students use their gifts, talents, and creativity to make their mark in such unique ways.

We are proud to celebrate students like McKenzie who continue to inspire us with their creativity, passion, and artistic vision.
