Eggbeater. Dribble. Wet Pass. Ball Under. Water Polo has it's own unique vocabulary. Part swimming, part soccer, 100% fun!

Want to try it? Currently THPRD Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center and Sunset Swim Center are offering youth water polo programs.

Water Polo Basics (Conestoga) and Fall Score (Sunset) both work on swimming, treading water, ball handling, passing, and shooting technique. Students will learn basic game principles, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Weather can get a bit crazy in the summer ~ and that can affect our pools! The best thing to do to stay informed is joining the THPRD text alert system, but here are some important things to know about THPRD's inclement weather policies:

- All outdoor pools will temporarily close in the event of lightning.
- All outdoor pools may close in the event of heavy rainfall obscuring visibility through the pool water.
- Moderate to high AQI readings will result in closure of outdoor pools and can affect indoor programming.

All of our splash pads offer a great place to cool off. We have 4 splash pads located around the District. Drop in fees apply at the THPRD Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center location, but the others are free.

💦 A swim test is required before using the Wipeout inflatable.

Save the date for Harman Swim Center's quarterly Ai Chi and Sound Bath on Thursday, August 6 from 7:30-8:30pm! Participants are also invited join us for a reception from 6:30-7:30pm.

Instructor Kristi will lead participants through a routine of gentle movements followed by floating and relaxing in the pool while sound washes over them with crystal singing bowls.

There is limited space available and our sound bath in the spring sold out, so pre-registration is strongly encouraged to guarantee a spot at the event. Tickets cost $10 each for in district residents and $12.50 each for out of district residents. Use registration code HM171022 on our website or call Harman Swim Center at 503-629-6314 during business hours to purchase a ticket.
