The Granite State Fire Service Support Team works with the families, friends, and co-workers of NH Firefighters and EMT's to assist in all aspects of planning for funeral services to honor our fallen. Although originally created as a Local Area Support Team through the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to assist with Line of Duty Deaths, our mission has grown to support active member, and re

It is with profound sadness that the Pembroke Fire Department announces the passing of retired Chief Paul M. Gagnon.

Chief Gagnon joined the Pembroke Fire Department in June of 1974, faithfully serving as Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Chief, and ultimately Chief from January 2021 until his retirement in April 2025. During the 1970's, he also volunteered with Tri-Town Volunteer Ambulance.

Chief Gagnon's commitment to public safety continued through his full-time career with the Concord Police Department, where he served as a Juvenile Detective before retiring as Sergeant in 2001.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 4th from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm in the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. Pembroke. Emergency Service Personnel are requested to line up at 6:30pm with a walk-through as 6:45pm

A celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 5th at 11:00 am in the Grace Capital Church, 542 Pembroke St. Pembroke. A reception will follow at the church.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has confirmed the campus of the United States Fire Administration will be open for the 2026 National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, scheduled for May 2–3 in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

The Hampstead Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of retired Fire Chief Walter "Chip" Hastings. Chip joined the department in 1967 along with his wife Susan and together they served for over 42 years. Chip served for 30 years as Chief of Department. He will be remembered fondly by the generations of firefighters he mentored in service to the community. Our thoughts are with his family.

Wake And Funeral Details For Retired MFD Chief Andre (Andy) Parent

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104 will be Monday, April 13th from 3 to 7 pm.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Saint Joseph Cathedral, 145 Lowell Street, Manchester, NH 03104 on Tuesday, April 14th at 10 AM, followed by a private ceremony at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.

Our department is mourning the loss of retired Fire Chief Andre Parent, a man who devoted 34 years to protecting and serving this community. Chief Parent was more than a leader—he was a mentor, a steady presence, and a true example of what it means to serve. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and all who loved him.
