Last night, the Bedford Public Library had the pleasure of hosting this month's Business After Hours with the Bedford Chamber of Commerce. With an America 250 theme, guests came dressed in their patriotic best, enjoyed games and light refreshments, and explored all the library has to offer.

Library Director Nathan Watson shared how libraries continue to play an important role in preserving history, inspiring learning, and bringing people together. He also spoke about how, especially in the age of AI, libraries remain trusted sources of knowledge and information. Nathan shared a look at upcoming media and digital literacy programs that will help community members confidently navigate today’s information landscape, along with plans for a community time capsule celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and opened during the nation's tricentennial.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening. We hope you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you back to the library again soon!
