Tyler McMinniman - Production ABMI offers five channels of local access for area residents.

Local Access Television is television by and for the community, an electronic extension of the First Amendment. It provides the opportunity for residents to entertain, inform, and educate others in the community. In Bellingham and Mendon the organization ensuring this service is called ABMI (Access Bellingham/Mendon, Inc.). The public channel covering both towns is Channel 8. Each town of Bellingh

am and Mendon then has two additional channels, dedicated specifically to the concerns of that particular town. These channels are Channel 11, dealing with municipal government and library matters, and Channel 98, which focuses on local education. ABMI is managed by a volunteer seven member Board of Directors with four officers chosen by and from the membership annually. Any resident of Bellingham or Mendon is eligible to become a member. Primary funding for ABMI comes from a contract with the commercial cable provider for the area, Comcast. ABMI receives four per cent of Comcast’s gross annual revenue in Bellingham and Mendon. The funding is used to purchase equipment, supplies, and to cover operating expenses. ABMI also employs a professional staff of three to support and assist volunteer producers.

Juke Box Gold played at the Mendon Town Beach last night in a concert generously sponsored by Middlesex Savings Bank.. Free pony rides were also offered for the kids.

In a show sponsored by Middlesex Savings Bank, the classic rock band Morse Code played the Bellingham Common last night, with free pony rides for the kids. The ABMI Concerts on the Grass series now moves on to Mendon Town Beach for the final three shows of the season,, with a roots rock offering from Marc Berger and Ride at 630pm on Wed. July 29, featuring free pony rides for the kids from 630pm to 730pm.

The Westwood Swing Band played at the Bellingham Town Common last night as part of the 2026 ABMI-TV Concerts on the Grass series. Prior to the show there were free pony rides for the kids.
