Thanks to a grant from the Montana Native Plant Society and many helping hands from the ZooMontana Botanical Society, we were able to add 50 new native plants to Jay's Native American Medicinal Plant Garden! This fantastic team of volunteers showed up despite the cold and the garden looks AWESOME thanks to their efforts. Coming next is new educational signage with Indigenous plant names and uses - thanks again to the Montana Native Plant Society. We are so excited for these additions that will bring greater appreciation to the Indigenous knowledge and conservation value of our native plants!

We were thrilled to get some of the original "OGs" of wildlife fertility control science together this April at the International Wildlife Fertility Control Conference. The folks at the table represent some of the earliest days of wildlife fertility control research and program development and are the leading experts at South African elephant, urban deer, and wild horse population management.

PZP fertility control works wonders in bears in zoos with efficacy rates of 95 to 98%. The Bear League of South Lake Tahoe hopes to soon implement fertility control in problem bears to disrupt the cycle of mother bears passing on dangerous behaviors to their cubs. We applaud the Bear League for thinking outside the box and hope to see this awesome project move forward!

Many thanks to the Botstiber Institute for Wildlife Fertility Control for the opportunity to expand our knowledge and our network at the 10th International Conference on Wildlife Fertility Control. We were fortunate to spend time with our Humane World for Animals South Africa partners who humanely manage elephants in dozens of South African elephant reserves and our parters with American Wild Horse Conservation who run the largest wild horse fertility control program in the country. The science of wildlife fertility control is bringing solutions to a growing number of species, we are proud to be among the ranks!
