πŸ”₯β›‘οΈπŸš’ The Boston Fire Prevention Education Unit wants everyone to Take a look back at some of our summer events and some of the fires that remind us why fire safety matters every day.

Throughout the summer, the Boston Fire Department Fire Prevention Education Unit was out in the community sharing important safety information. Unfortunately, we also saw fires caused by preventable hazards.

🍿We were proud to be joined by Mayor Michelle Wu, Boston Police, Age Strong, Goodwill, and a host of other community partners and vendors who came together to support and connect with Hyde Park residents.

It was a great opportunity to meet families, talk about home fire safety, answer questions, and share important information that can help keep our residents safe.

πŸ”₯ Fire safety starts with education, and community events like this help us bring that message directly to our neighborhoods.

πŸŽ’πŸ§₯ BACK-TO-SCHOOL AT TD GARDEN!

The Boston Fire Department was proud to join The Salvation Army Boston Kroc Center, TD Garden, and the City of Boston for the 15th Annual Back-to-School Celebration at TD Garden.

Boston Fire Commissioner Rodney Marhall, the Boston Fire Prevention Education Unit, and our Boston Fire Cadets joined Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox, Boston EMS, and a host of other government agencies and community partners to support Boston-area families.

Thousands of students and families had the opportunity to receive backpacks, school supplies, winter coats, and other essentials to help them start the new school year prepared and ready to succeed. πŸŽ’πŸ“šπŸ§₯πŸ”₯

πŸš’πŸ”₯The Boston Fire Prevention Education Unit, along with our Boston Fire Cadets, Boston Police Cadets, and Boston EMS Cadets, had a great time participating in Mayor Wu’s Open Streets event in Jamaica Plain.

We joined the Boston EMS, Boston Police Department, Boston Public Health Commission, and many other City of Boston agencies.

One of the highlights of the day was introducing our new Fire Safety Spinning Wheel, where community members tested their fire safety knowledge, learned important safety tips, and won fun prizes.

The event also featured many talented local vendors showcasing candles, body oils, jewelry, handcrafted items, and other unique products, giving future entrepreneurs an opportunity to share their businesses with the community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth! We always enjoy meeting residents, answering questions, and helping make Boston a safer place one conversation at a time. πŸš’πŸ”₯.
