The winners of our recent Library Card Design Contest are here just in time for Library Card Sign-Up Month!🦁

With over 400 entries from BPL library card holders, the following patrons were selected as winners!

The three new designs printed on library cards will be available starting on Sep 1, 2026, at all locations, and will remain in circulation throughout 2027 while supplies last.

🎙️Meet the performers:
Diego Herrera is a Peruvian saxophonist and composer creating original music that blends Latin genres with contemporary R&B and pop elements.

The Boston Lyric Opera will perform a dynamic concert featuring BLO’s Jane & Steven Akin Emerging Artists. As well as fan favorite operatic and musical theatre repertoire you know and love.

This concert is presented in partnership with the Berklee College of Music and is also part of their Summer in the City concert series.

Ann Patchett is coming to the BPL! I repeat, Ann Patchett is coming to the BPL on Saturday, October 3 to headline the 2026 Maury A. Bromsen Humanistic Literary Arts Lecture!

✍🏼️Hear the award-winning author speak on her work and writing career of over 30 years. As one of TIME ’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, Patchett has won a National Humanities Medal, the PEN/Faulkner Award, and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
