While we are still wrapping up the primary, we are already gearing up for the general!

Yesterday, a citizen's committee dropped off multiple boxes of signature packets to get a measure on the November ballot to expand the number of commissioners from 3 to 5.

Our office has 30 days to complete the evaluation to ensure the group has enough valid signers (just over 13,000).

Onward to November!

Today the Canvass Board joined Elections Staff and we successfully complete round one of the Risk-Limiting Audit (RLA)!

The RLA is conducted by bi-partisan teams and is a statewide process designed to use statistical probability to confirm the accuracy of election results.

We will find out tomorrow if there will be another round or if we are finished for the primary election.

Congratulations, team!

Always verify the VIN (the Vehicle Identification Number) before buying a used vehicle. Compare the VIN on the car itself, the title, and the vehicle history report. If the numbers don't match, that's a red flag for a stolen vehicle or other fraud.

You can also run a free VINCheck® search through the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) for an extra layer of protection.

Motor vehicle fraud is on the rise and takes many forms. As scammers become more sophisticated, it can be harder than ever to spot a deal that's too good to be true. We're here to help you become a savvy consumer and protect some of your most valuable assets — your vehicles.
