When air quality is poor:
• Limit time outdoors.
• Avoid strenuous outdoor activities and exercise.
• Wear a well-fitted N95 respirator if you must be outside for extended periods.
• Keep windows and doors closed when possible.
• Drink plenty of water and watch for symptoms like coughing, wheezing or shortness of breath.
• Check the Air Quality Index (AQI) and sign up for local air quality alerts.

Children, older adults, pregnant people, and those with heart or lung conditions are especially vulnerable to wildfire smoke.
