🚨 RAPID INTERVENTION TEAM TRAINING 🚨

Tonight, the Brighton Betsey Ann Fire Protection District participated in multi-jurisdictional Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) training focused on operating together, building teamwork, and being prepared to go in when another firefighter needs help.

We were proud to train alongside departments from:

🔥 Bunker Hill
🔥 Fosterburg
🔥 Unit 7
🔥 Mitchell
🔥 Colchester

Training together across jurisdictions strengthens our ability to work seamlessly when the call requires multiple agencies.

A huge thank-you to all the departments, the instructor and firefighters who participated tonight. This is what brotherhood, teamwork, and readiness look like.

Tonight, our Brighton firefighters put in the work training on vehicle stabilization and extrication. Our crews practiced techniques used to safely stabilize vehicles and remove patients following a motor vehicle crash.

Hands-on training like this helps our firefighters stay prepared to respond when seconds matter.

A big thank you to our members for continuing to train, learn, and sharpen their skills to better serve our community!

Still have spots open for a FREE CPR CLASS. Let us know if you’re interested.

The Brighton Fire Department is pleased to announce the upcoming community CPR training sessions. There will notable changes from previous years. We will be transitioning to a Friends and Family CPR course, designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively in cardiac arrest emergencies. Participants will not receive a CPR certification card. The training session is scheduled for Friday, September 25th at 6:00 PM at Brighton Fire Station #1, located at 105 Myrtle Street. The duration of the class is approximately 1.5 hours. Due to limited seating, interested individuals are asked to RSVP via email to [email protected]. This complimentary session will be offered twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
