The Brunswick High School’s Interact club welcomed some of our Brunswick Rotary Club members to discuss upcoming opportunities for Interact students to participate in. A big opportunity is the upcoming Earth Day Celebration!

The 2026 Earth Day Festival in Brunswick takes place on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School (44 McKeen St). This free community event features an "All Species Parade," live music, hands-on activities, and educational exhibits focused on sustainability. It's a family affair - make sure to put it on your calendar today.

The Brunswick Rotary is Helping our Community with a Neighborhood Food Drive

Pictured is an example of The Brunswick Rotary's neighborhood food drive for Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program [MCHPP].
MCHPP says the current needs for food are: Peanut Butter, Canned Tuna, Canned Chicken, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Cereals, and Granola Bars.

Of course, any food you choose to give is greatly appreciated.

Another year, another fantastic Tent or Treat event! Thanks to Brunswick Rec and everyone who contributed to its success.
Many children, from babies to teens, enjoyed Halloween at the town mall. The children’s parade featured amazing costumes, and afterwards they got to stop by all the tents for treats. Not to be left out, many of the parents also dressed up in some fantastic costumes! Each year, the Brunswick Rotary eagerly anticipates welcoming everyone to our Tent for Halloween treats.
We dare say – everyone had a wonderful time!

Conservationist Jym St. Pierre is the recipient of the 2025 Walter H. “Doc” Phillips Memorial Award.

The Brunswick Rotary Club presented the award to St. Pierre on October 16, 2025, at the Harpswell Town Office. The award was established in 2020 to honor Walter "Doc" H. Phillips, a dedicated conservationist and long-time member of the Brunswick Rotary Club who passed away in 2019. Phillips and his wife, Jean, moved to Harpswell many years ago. He was involved in the community, serving on the Conservation Committee, the Harpswell Land Trust, and the Brunswick Rotary, for which he raised thousands of dollars.

Jym St. Pierre, a Brunswick resident, has dedicated nearly five decades to protecting Maine's natural landscapes. His work history includes:
• Maine director of Restore: The North Woods: Since 1995
• Sierra Club
• The Wilderness Society
• Northern Forest Alliance
• Maine Department of Conservation
He also co-founded the Kennebec Land Trust and chaired Maine Conservation Voters. St. Pierre remains active in the conservation community, serving on the Executive Committee of Friends of Baxter State Park and the Brunswick Town Commons Committee.

A permanent plaque is mounted at the Harpswell Town Office Building with each awardee’s name on it.
