Due to SEMA opening up the SEOC for the St Louis storms last night, I drove to Jefferson City to get the 19' by 35' tent I had put in the resource request for. After getting a jumpstart from Lloyd (Pettis Co. Deputy EMD), I got back too Butler about 2:30 this afternoon, where I was met by a contingent of Butler Lions (Wayne Vermillion, Ed Yoder (Viet Nam Vet), Leroy Cook ( also a vet), Gary Evans, and Kent Long. Close behind were Jami Page, Chris Gach and Chad Anderson with so many deputies, I lost count (feel free to list them if you like!). It really was team effort, and everyone really pitched in. After one final jump start (and a new battery from O'Reilleys), Kent and I got everything tied down so it won't blow away in the breeze! Thanks ALL!

Oh, I need to add some context here, this is going to be the Volunteer Tent, for the Butler exhibition of The Wall That Heals, here at the old High School football field till Sunday afternoon. It seems like month ago, Northern Commissioner John Gray asked me to put in the resource request, so we would have some where for volunteers to rest and rehabilitate. Initially, some one from SEMA was to bring it over, and supervise its construction, but now we are hoping they will come get it Monday!
