Positive Outcomes Charter School was founded in 1996 and provides educational
opportunities for students who have experienced academic difficulty in a
traditional school setting. For the past fifteen years, we have served children from
throughout the state of Delaware. Now 152 graduates of Positive Outcomes Charter
School are living, working, and going to college in Delaware and nearby states. All

of our graduates made progress and were able to salvage educational careers which had begun badly. The staff at Positive Outcomes is knowledgeable about, and committed to, serving students who have been unsuccessful at other schools.

The power of student voice was on full display at Positive Outcomes Charter School during this year’s Student Exhibitions.

Instructional Coaches Tory Hunziker and Mwan Brady had the opportunity to attend as JDG teacher Laura Roeske guided her student, Warren, through his presentation highlighting his accomplishments, growth, and lessons learned throughout the school year.

These exhibitions serve as POCS’s final assessment, giving students the opportunity to reflect on their journey while demonstrating the skills and knowledge they have gained. Experiences like these are invaluable as we continue developing training resources and instructional strategies that support diverse learners and create meaningful pathways to student success.

Just a couple of reminders for our graduates, families, and their guests.
🎓Please arrive on time as the ceremony will begin promptly
🎓No balloons are permitted on the Delaware State Fair property
🎓Graduates and guests are not permitted to hang, tape, or display signs on the walls at our graduation venue
🎓At the conclusion of our graduation ceremony, we kindly ask all graduates, family members, and guests to exit the Exhibit Hall and parking lot in a timely manner so that venue staff may begin post-event operations.

We celebrated our seniors on their last day last Friday and gave them a special send-off! As they walked the halls one final time, we couldn't help but reminisce about the memories they've made and the impact they've had on our school community. Now, we look ahead as they gear up for graduation and the exciting journey that awaits them. Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎓❤️
