Assemblyman Andrew Molitor and I met with the leadership and members of the Independent Oil and Gas Association of NY (IOGANY) at Holiday Valley to talk about how the Governor’s bad policies are driving up our utility costs and are harming their industry. I was honored to present CCA - Connecting Communities in Action CEO Andrew Studley and CCA’s Assistant Director of Energy & Housing Corey Fuller, with a NYS Assembly Citation recognizing the 50th Anniversary of CCA’s home Weatherization Assistance Program. I had a great time talking to students in Mrs. Sarah Horne’s Participation in Government Class at Genesee Valley Central School about state government along with my colleagues, state Senator Tom O’Mara and state Senator George Borrello. We work closely together to represent our constituents in Allegany County. The students asked thoughtful, well-researched questions. They give me hope for the future. Thank you to Mrs. Horne and her students for inviting us!

I’m very happy to announce that I’ve directed $30,000 in unrestricted state aid to Franklinville Central School. As I told Superintendent Donald Putnam and the Board of Education, I know the great job our rural schools do educating our students. And I know some extra resources are always needed and will be put to good use.
