State Treasurer Larry Pack is the chief financial officer of West Virginia.

The Office of the West Virginia State Treasurer was established at the Constitutional Convention held in Wheeling in 1863 after the western counties of Virginia split to become West Virginia. The Treasurer's Office is one of six constitutionally mandated offices in West Virginia.

Learning more about steel manufacturing in the Northern Panhandle! On Thursday, Treasurer Pack toured Wheeling-Nippon Steel in Follansbee with plant leadership and local officials.

Wheeling-Nippon Steel is the only steel coating mill in the United States that produces all major hot-dip coated products under one roof including ZAM, Aluminized, Galvalume, Galvanized Steel and more.

On the ground locally for important discussion! On Tuesday, Treasurer Pack visited with the Doddridge County Commission and other local officials to talk about economic development as well as a tour of the area. Our Office will help counties around the state in any way possible.

Last week, students at Victory Baptist Academy participated in our Get a Life budget simulation! With Get a Life, students are launched into the future where they have graduated high school and have a full-time job. The program teaches basic math skills and problem-solving techniques. Thank you to all who participated!

There are currently more than 300 participating nonpublic schools and microschools. Microschools are small, flexible learning environments initiated by a
teacher or entity that charges tuition to students who enroll.

An inspiring morning with WVABLE and Special Olympics West Virginia!

Today, State Treasurer Larry Pack honored nearly two dozen Special Olympics West Virginia athletes during a special recognition ceremony at the State Capitol, celebrating their outstanding achievements at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games this past June.
