💙✨ DSP Appreciation Week at Nevins! ✨💙

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who show up every day with compassion, dedication, and heart.

Our DSPs play such an important role in creating meaningful days, supporting independence, encouraging new experiences, and building genuine connections with the individuals we serve. From the big moments to the little everyday victories, their commitment makes a difference. 💙

To all of our Nevins DSPs: thank you for everything you do, every single day. We appreciate you more than you know! 👏💙

🇺🇸✨ Labor Day Vision Boards at Nevins! ✨🇺🇸

Our participants had a creative way to celebrate the Labor Day holiday! With the Charlotte Mecklenburg Aktion Club, participants worked on creating their own vision boards—bringing together ideas, goals, interests, and things that inspire them. 💙

We love activities that give our participants the opportunity to express themselves, get creative, and think about what they want for the future. ✂️🎨✨

A big thank you to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Aktion Club for helping make this project possible and spending time creating alongside our participants!

🏁🏎️ A day at the 23XI Racing Museum! 🏎️🏁

On August 7, our participants enjoyed a community outing to the 23XI Racing Museum! They explored different exhibits, got an up-close look at race cars, and learned more about how drivers and racing teams prepare and maintain each car for safe travel on race day.

Beyond the excitement of racing, outings like this provide opportunities for our participants to explore new environments, build sensory resilience, foster social inclusion, and strengthen their connection with the Charlotte community. 💙

We love creating opportunities to learn, explore, and experience all that our community has to offer!
