Dear Cherokee Community School District Families,
We are excited to share an opportunity that will have a lasting impact on our students, our school, and our community.
Cherokee Community School District is incredibly grateful for our partnership with Cherokee Regional Medical Center as we work together to bring a new tennis and pickleball complex to Cherokee. This partnership is making it possible to invest in a facility that will serve our students and community for generations to come.
The complex will be located behind the Cherokee Fitness Center on Cherokee Regional Medical Center campus, and they will provide routine maintenance and upkeep for the facility.
For our tennis program, this project is more than a new facility — it is vital to the continuation of Cherokee tennis. Our current tennis courts are deteriorating, making it increasingly difficult to provide our students with the safe, quality courts they need to practice and compete. A new complex will ensure that Cherokee can continue to offer a strong tennis program and provide our student-athletes with a place to grow and compete.
The new complex will feature six courts that can easily convert between tennis and pickleball, lighting for evening play, ADA-accessible parking, fencing and the ability to host high school tennis events. Even better, Cherokee tennis team members will have free access to the courts, giving our athletes additional opportunities to practice and develop their skills outside of scheduled team activities. The courts will also be
available to the community, with access included as part of a Cherokee Fitness Center membership, or by purchasing day-passes if they do not have a membership.
Thanks to tremendous community support, $2 million has already been pledged toward the estimated $2.4 million project. We are now asking Cherokee families and businesses to help us raise the remaining funds and make this vision a reality. As we apply for grant funding, community support is vital – at any dollar amount.
Your donation isn't just helping build courts — it's helping preserve an opportunity for Cherokee students to participate in tennis and/or pickleball for years to come.
Every contribution, regardless of size, brings us closer to the finish line. We are grateful for your consideration and for the continued support our school district and students receive from the Cherokee community.

Thank you for believing in our students and helping us build a strong future for Cherokee.
