Chicago youth can travel the world VIRTUALLY! WorldChicago is seeking Chicagoland area teens (ages 15-19) to participate in our Summer 2021 Caribbean Youth Ambassadors Program. This virtual youth leadership program will take place on Fridays from July 30 – August 27 for approximately 1.5 hours per week. We will pair Chicago-area teens with high school students from across the Caribbean, including Barbados, Dominica Republic, Jamaica, Suriname, and The Bahamas. Through fun and engaging activities like Alphabet Scavenger Hunt, Recipe Swap, Trivia Game, House Music Party, Pen Pal Exchange, and Virtual Talent Show, you will learn more about Caribbean cultures, share about YOUR Chicago to Caribbean youths, and make new friends.

This is also a unique way for you to further develop leadership and cross-cultural communication skills, and a great experience to add to your resume. Upon completion, Chicago teen participants will receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing 11 hours of volunteer community service.

The program will take place on the following dates: Fridays, 7/30, 8/6, 8/13, 8/20, and 8/27. You will have the option to participate in either the morning cohort (9 – 11AM CDT) or the afternoon cohort (1 – 3PM CDT). Since this is a fully virtual exchange, participants can join in from anywhere.
