We explored Pennsylvania's One Book Every Young Child 2026 selection, The Great Cookie Kerfuffle by Jessica Shaw, through a variety of hands-on activities!

After we read the story together the children visited play and learn stations where they sorted farm animals, built farm buildings, designed their own cookie craft, made play dough cookies, and "baked" felt cookies complete with icing and sprinkles.

Our regular storytimes will be back next week with Reading Adventures (Preschool-Kindergarten) on Tuesdays at 10:00 AM, Terrific Tales (Toddlers) on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM, and Music and Rhyme Wiggle Time (Babies-Toddlers) on Fridays at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Check our calendar for all dates, https://lclshome.org/libraries/abington-community-library/.
