We held our last group session of Teen Tech Tutors, with the Abington Heights High School Cleo Club, last evening. These students and this program have provided an invaluable service to over one hundred members of our community. Thank you to the Scranton Area Community Foundation for their support of this project. Please take a moment and read a few participant testimonials!

Missed out on tutoring this time, no worries...we'll be offering "Tech Tutoring Tuesdays" all summer. These will be one on one opportunities for individuals needing help with devices. Dates and times will be shared soon on Facebook, the Library website, and in our bi-monthly newsletter.

🧵 We were so excited to see all the quilts this week from our Disappearing Nine Patch Quilt Class! Everyone picked such fun colors and made the design their own in so many creative ways. We hope your quilts keep their lucky recipients cozy and warm for years to come! Fantastic job to all participants!

UPDATE ON BUDGET CUT: This year our NEPA GIVES drive will focus on the purchase of books and materials for all ages. We are especially grateful for your support during this 24 hours giving event from June 4th 7pm to June 5th 7 pm. as our fund for materials has been drastically reduced by $33,000 for 2026, due to budget cuts from above.
Let's spread the word and make this NEPA Gives Day the most successful yet!

🎨 Just over a week left to view our Spring Art Exhibit ,"Journeys on Canvas," an inspiring collection of oil and watercolor paintings by Maryann Williams and Judith Vescovi. Their works feature florals, landscapes, historic structures, places they’ve visited, and still-life scenes.

🍳 We had so much fun at our May “Cookbook Club” where attendees prepared dishes from “Skillet Love” by Anne Byrn. From Hasselback Sweet Potatoes to Sticky Garlic Ginger Chicken, all of these delicious recipes were for a cast iron skillet.

We will be viewing the film “River of No Return.” The story follows the titular river as it unites a farmer recently released from prison, his young son and an ambitious saloon singer.
