Planning a graduation party, family reunion, birthday celebration or other special event next year?

Carver County Parks facility reservations are accepted up to one year in advance, giving visitors the opportunity to secure popular dates early.

Reservation details:
• Seasonal picnic shelters are available for reservations between May 14 and Oct. 3, 2027
• Popular summer and graduation season dates can fill quickly
• Early reservations are encouraged

Carver County Parks is launching a new way to experience one of Lake Waconia’s most unique destinations. Visitors can now enjoy a free pontoon shuttle service to and from Coney Island, complete with guided historical nature hikes led by park staff.

Shuttle details:
• Saturday, May 30
• 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Departing from Paradise Commons at Lake Waconia Regional Park

Boats will leave the mainland every hour on the hour and return from the island 15 minutes before the next hour. The final trip to the island departs at 3 p.m.

The service is free and open to the public. No registration is required, and rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.

Today marks the first day of the camping season, and we’re excited to welcome back campers!

Looking to plan a getaway? Take advantage of our midweek camping deal and enjoy the park with fewer crowds.

• Utility site: $102, plus a $10 reservation fee

Explore a new lake in Carver County each week with Family Paddle Club. This new, 10-session summer program is a fun way for families to paddle together or enjoy a special parent-child outing. Kayaks, paddle boards and all equipment are provided, and instructors will teach the basics. No previous experience is required.

🏕️ Campsite and Shelter Rental Season Begins May 8

Camping season begins soon at Baylor Regional Park, and many weekends are already full. The season runs May 8 through Oct. 10.

The campground features 50 sites, including electric and water hookups, primitive tent options, shower and restroom facilities, and a group camp area.

Park picnic shelters also open May 8. Reservations must be made at least four days in advance and can be booked up to one year ahead.

Watercraft storage is now available starting today, May 1 at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park and Lake Waconia Regional Park.

Planning to spend more time paddling this summer? These convenient storage rentals make it easy to keep your canoe or kayak close to the water so you can spend less time hauling gear and more time enjoying the lake.
