Heather Brigg’s breakfast block party in Mid Shooks Run was a blast, and is one of the first events of many to come for our 150 Tables Across COS initiative! Liv Wood at KOAA 5 captured the magic of what happens when neighbors get together!

With 28 tables registered so far, will you help us reach our goal of 150 by October?

Hey Neighbor is hosting 150 community tables across Colorado Springs this summer to help residents meet their neighbors.

On a sunny May Saturday in Meadows Park, 17 neighbors gathered for the second annual Stratton Meadows Co****le Tournament, hosted by Hey Neighbor's Executive Director Kelly Bull and her neighbor Nikki Fetterhoff.

Some folks showed up because they'd been personally invited. Others happened to be at the park and got pulled into the fun. One of those lucky walk-ups was 10-year-old Jordan, who lit up at the invitation: "Oh, I love co****le. I used to play with my grandpa all the time!" Spoiler alert: Jordan ended up on the winning team!

We are hiring three Community Coordinators to help us build something we genuinely believe in: a Colorado Springs where neighbors actually know each other, where people feel like they belong, and where the relationship between residents and their city is built on trust and real conversation.

If you are the kind of person who lights up when you meet someone new, who knows and reaches out to neighbors, and who believes that good things happen when people come together, we'd love for you to apply: https://heyneighbors.org/join-our-team

Hosting a neighborhood table might sound overwhelming. We're here to make it easy!

To join the 150 Tables Across COS initiative, you don't have to host a table that seats the whole neighborhood (but we would love that!)- it could just be 8 neighbors on a driveway with folding chairs and potluck dishes. It can be a Sunday afternoon in the backyard. It can start with one conversation and a text to a neighbor you have always meant to meet.

We built a free Host Toolkit to make it easy — invitation templates, conversation prompts, a step-by-step planning guide, and support from our Community Coordinators.

Everything you need is at https://heyneighbors.org/150tables. Register your table and we'll be there to support you along the way.

🎉Today, we excitedly launch 150 Tables Across Colorado Springs- a citywide movement to bring neighbors together around shared meals in driveways, backyards, parks, and streets — across all 77 neighborhoods, May through October.

It starts with a simple belief: when neighbors share a meal, something meaningful happens. Strangers become familiar faces. Conversations build trust. Neighborhoods become stronger.

We need 150 hosts to make this happen. Could you be one of them? We'd love your help spreading the word and please remember to register your table at https://heyneighbors.org/150tables and help us build the kind of city where everyone feels connected and at home. 🏡
