🎨Admiring Diversity of Columbus🎨
January 20-February 29
Bartholomew County Public Library, entrance to the children’s area
Organized by Chloe Cooper, senior at CSA New Tech

Some of our super talented 6th graders were chosen to exhibit their self portraits, highlighting the rich diversity we’re so fortunate to have here in Columbus.

These portraits started with a photography lesson, and all the portraits were taken by them with our classroom camera! They traced their own photos onto acetate, painted on the back, and made their own marbled paper backgrounds. It was a long process, but so worth it. I am so proud of these kiddos and the way they show up for me every week. Their hard work amazes me ❤️ Please go visit them and show your support for our fellow Rockets!

We absolutely love Bartholomew County Library because Well, what’s not to love. The staff are always friendly and helpful. And there is always something fun to do there. It’s a great place for the whole family to go and hang out and to have something to do. #LibraryLoversMonth
So I just wanted to share this information with anyone who loves to read and who also like to buy things that are from local authors. Gail Pate is a wonderful author from the Brown County area. I have read both her books The Light and Halo. And they are fantastic short read books that would make the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for any reader. So hurry out and go get them.
Would love to visit the library but there is hardly ever any parking at the times we go during the day. Last week we found the one and only parking spot, this week, nothing. This is one of the reasons we hardly ever go to the library - I do not want to drive there and then continue to drive around to find a parking spot, then park 2 blocks away because people don't honor the parking system set up - if you aren't using the library, then don't park there! Wish there was a workable solution!
Unfortunately I was unable to attend the Type 1 Day at a Time meeting earlier this month, but I am very interested in trying it out. Can you tell me if there are plans to continue the program in future months?
