Established in 1993 as a non-profit organization to serve as a network-wide support association for Ohio’s local CASA/GAL programs. The Association monitors the statewide implementation of National CASA Association standards of practice; holds quarterly director’s meetings and bi-annual training meetings; communicates regularly with local programs via a quarterly newslet

ter, monthly updates via e-mail, facsimile, and Web site; collects statewide data; provides technical assistance and training; manages the “Celebrate Kids!” specialty license plate and disseminates related funds; tracks CASA-related legislation; and holds an annual “Celebrate Kids!” conference.

Welcome new CASA volunteers! 👏

Ohio CASA staff was excited to be there as the Ross County CASA, Ohio program recently swore in a large new class of CASA volunteers. These volunteers are community members with a variety of professional and personal backgrounds, but a shared focus: the well-being of children.

The blue t-shirts worn by CASA volunteers and families at ballgames this summer featured the logo of the Ohio Department of Children and Youth on the back 👕 DCY has been a long-time supporter of CASA volunteer work statewide, prompting Ohio CASA to highlight their support and partnership. DCY’s mission is to promote positive, lifelong outcomes for Ohio youth through early intervention, quality education, and family support programs.

For example, DCY is a champion level supporter of Ohio CASA’s upcoming Celebrate Kids! Conference, which prioritizes high-quality child welfare training for CASA volunteers, attorneys, caseworkers, and court staff members.
