The Department of Public Service maintains Columbus roadways, provides Refuse collection and operates the 311 Customer Service Center. The Department also develops projects that make Columbus streets safer for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists. More than 700 Employees of the Columbus Department of Public Service provide a variety of basic services that maintain and improve City of Columbus residents’ traveling safety, quality of life and support the economic development of the city.

Starts Monday, June 15, at 5 a.m.

Railroad bridge repairs will close Spring St from Hanover St to Hocking St starting Monday, June 15, for approximately two weeks. Daily closure hours are 5 a.m. – 3 p.m.

We’re excited to begin construction on a 2.2 mile long protected bike lane, which is part of Vision Zero Columbus and aligns with our Bike Plus Plan!🚴

Construction will begin on Monday on a protected bike lane on North 4th Street from Italian Village through University District. The new design moves the bikeway against the curb and is physically protected by street parking.
