Our hearts are with the entire Spirit EMS family following the unexpected passing of Paramedic Karl Kleinekathoefer.

The loss of a fellow EMS provider is felt throughout the entire first responder community. Karl dedicated his career to caring for others and serving communities throughout Western Ohio and Eastern Indiana, leaving a lasting impact on his patients, coworkers, and fellow providers.

On behalf of everyone at MedFlight and MedCare, we extend our deepest condolences to Karl’s family and loved ones, his friends, and our colleagues at Spirit EMS during this incredibly difficult time.

We stand with Spirit EMS as they mourn the loss of one of their own. Please keep all those who knew and loved Karl in your thoughts
