Yesterday, we celebrated National Intern Day! Thank you to all of our incredible interns, past and present.

To celebrate, our Summer Session II interns enjoyed donuts and coffee with DA Greg Willis, where they had the opportunity to reflect on their time at the Collin County Courthouse and share some of their favorite memories from the summer.

DA Greg Willis Announces Princeton Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Prohibited Sexual Conduct

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced that Leslie Price, 41, of Princeton, was sentenced to the maximum Life in Prison for Prohibited Sexual Conduct, after a Collin County jury found him guilty.

The Crime

On September 10, 2024, Amarillo Police responded to a delayed outcry of sexual assault. The 17-year-old victim reported that her father, Leslie Price, had sexually assaulted her while she was living with him in Princeton. At the time of her outcry, the victim was three months pregnant with Price’s child.

The Investigation

After a forensic interview, the case was transferred to the Princeton Police Department TX. Price was arrested shortly thereafter. Investigators seized two of his phones, which contained Google searches inquiring whether a 17-year-old could get pregnant, ways for his daughter to obtain an abortion, and the age of consent in Texas. The victim gave birth in March 2025. Princeton Police obtained DNA samples from Price, the victim, and the baby. Testing confirmed that Price was the biological father of both his daughter and his granddaughter.

The Trial and Sentence

At trial, prosecutors presented the DNA evidence proving that Price had engaged in sexual in*******se with his 17-year-old daughter. The jury found him guilty of Prohibited Sexual Conduct. During the punishment phase, the State introduced evidence of Price’s prior prison sentences for Assault Family Violence and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Judge Kimberly Laseter assessed the maximum punishment of life in prison.

“Leslie Price committed the ultimate betrayal — he sexually assaulted his own 17-year-old daughter and fathered her child. A Collin County jury convicted him and the judge sentenced him to life in prison. This verdict protects our community and delivers justice for a young victim who showed tremendous courage.”

DA Greg Willis Announces Frisco Man’s 50 Year Sentence for Machete Attack on Security Officer

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced today that Malik Charles Anthony Davis, 27, of Frisco, Texas, was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the offense of Aggravated Assault against a Security Officer.

The Crime

Since early 2025, Davis attended the Islamic Center of Frisco, claiming to be homeless and asking for food and occasional shelter, which they provided. On June 7, 2025, the victim — an armed security guard and member of the Islamic Center — was closing down the building. The victim believed he was alone when Davis, concealed in the locker room area wearing all black clothing with a hood over his face, silently approached from behind. Davis then struck the victim multiple times with a machete, causing serious injury. During the attack, the victim’s firearm fell from his holster. Davis picked it up and tried to flee the scene. He was arrested nearby. Frisco Police Department Detective Travis Chapman and Lieutenant Jeffrey Inmon investigated the case.

The Trial

During trial, prosecutors presented surveillance video of the violent attack. Additional surveillance video showed Davis preparing for the attack as well as his movements immediately afterward, including changing clothes to conceal his identity as he fled. Jurors also heard from the victim, who recounted the sudden ambush and the long mental and physical recovery process he has endured. In the punishment phase, jurors heard additional evidence that, while in custody in the Collin County Jail, the defendant threatened to kill his cellmate.

The Verdict and Sentence

A Collin County jury found Davis guilty of Aggravated Assault on a Security Officer and sentenced him to 50 years in prison. The jury also found him guilty of Theft of a Firearm and sentenced him to 180 days in a Felony State Jail facility. Judge Tom Nowak presided over the case.

Statement from DA Greg Willis: “This coward hid in a place of worship that had shown him compassion, then violently ambushed a security officer with a machete and tried to steal his firearm. A Collin County jury sent him to prison for 50 years. We will not tolerate violence against those who protect our community.”

DA Greg Willis Announces Life Sentence for McKinney Man Who Murdered Friend in New Hope

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced today that a jury sentenced Pablo Berrios, 53, of McKinney, to life in prison for Murder of his friend in New Hope.

The Crime

On September 27, 2025, Collin County Sheriff's Office McKinney, Texas deputies responded to a disturbance call near Drift Drive in New Hope. They found the victim suffering from multiple blunt force injuries to the head. Berrios was found outside of the residence with blood on his hands and clothing. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Investigation

Deputies located the victim’s wife, who was inside the home and witnessed the attack. She identified Berrios as the killer. After waiving his rights, Berrios gave a detailed interview to Investigator Ramiro Acosta. He admitted that after a minor argument he “just snapped,” grabbed a pipe, and repeatedly struck the victim in the head and face with the intent to kill him. Berrios told investigators he paused the attack to go outside and smoke a cigarette before returning to continue beating the victim, stating, “If you are going to do it, do it right.”

Verdict and Sentence

Berrios pled guilty to Murder, a first degree felony. After hearing the evidence, the defendant’s own confession, and witness testimony, a Collin County jury sentenced him to life in prison.

DA Greg Willis stated:

“This was a brutal, senseless murder. Pablo Berrios beat his friend to death with a pipe in front of the victim’s own wife, then casually paused to smoke a cigarette before finishing the attack. Today, a Collin County jury made sure he will spend the rest of his life behind bars. I thank our outstanding prosecution team, sheriff deputies, and the jury for delivering justice for this family and ensuring Berrios can never harm another person in our community.”

DA Greg Willis: McKinney Man Gets Life Without Parole for
Capital Murder in Planned Robbery

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced that Donte Murry, 26, of McKinney, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for Capital Murder after a Collin County jury convicted him.

The Crime

On April 28, 2024, around 2:00 p.m., McKinney Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in a neighborhood. Witnesses observed a man approach a white vehicle parked on the street, argue with the occupant, and fire multiple shots. After the shooting, the suspect returned to the vehicle, rummaged through it, removed items, and fled on foot. Officers found the victim inside the white vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The Investigation

Crime scene investigators recovered a .45 caliber shell casing inside the victim’s vehicle that was later matched to a handgun found in Murry’s backpack. Investigators determined Murry and the victim had exchanged gunfire during a planned drug deal that turned into an armed robbery. Muddy footprints led officers to a nearby residence where the McKinney SWAT Team helped locate Murry and execute a search warrant. Officers recovered Murry’s firearm, the victim’s stolen firearm, and ma*****na taken from the victim’s vehicle. In a recorded interview with Detective Mark Brydges, Murry repeatedly lied before admitting the meeting was for a drug deal and that he intended to rob the victim.

The Trial and Sentence

Prosecutors presented Murry’s recorded interview and incriminating text messages proving he planned the robbery. A Collin County jury convicted him of Capital Murder. Judge Kimberly Laseter presided over the trial and assessed the automatic sentence of life in prison without parole.

🚨Collin Co. Capital Murder Suspect Featured Fugitive for May🚨

Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Hassan Haitham Muhsen is this month’s Featured Fugitive. The reward for information leading to his arrest is increased to $6,000 during May if the tip is received this month. The U.S. Marshals Service is also offering an additional reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Muhsen’s arrest.

Hassan Haitham Muhsen, 20, from Frisco, has been wanted out of Collin Co. since April 24, 2026, for capital murder, after cutting his electronic ankle monitor off and fleeing from the area. The capital murder charge stems from his alleged involvement in a robbery/shooting incident that occurred in McKinney in January 2025. Following his arrest, he was released from jail on a $1 million bond. Muhsen’s criminal history consists of arrests for unlawful carrying of a weapon, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and capital murder by terror threat/other felony.

Serial Sexual Predator who Abused Autistic Child Gets 50 Years No Parole

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced today that Marty Duwayne Griego, 52, of Denton, Texas, was sentenced to 50 years in prison without parole for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Disabled Individual after sexually abusing a severely autistic child.

The Crime

Griego had an ongoing relationship with the child’s family that gave him access to the victim. Over the course of a year, he repeatedly sexually abused the severely autistic child, with the abuse ending when she was 15 years old. The crimes came to light when Griego assaulted the victim in front of another child, who immediately outcried to authorities. Plano Texas Police Department was notified.

The Investigation

The victim underwent a medical exam that produced DNA evidence linking Griego to the abuse. She was then forensically interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County, where she provided detailed accounts of repeated abuse occurring in Plano, Carrollton, and Corpus Christi. Plano Police Detective Catherine Foreman led the investigation.

The Verdict and Sentence

On April 22, 2026, a Collin County jury convicted Griego of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Disabled Individual. During the punishment phase, jurors heard evidence that Griego had also sexually abused another child and had sexually assaulted an adult who reported the crime after his arrest. The jury assessed punishment at 50 years in prison. By law, the sentence carries no eligibility for parole. Judge Rayburn Nall presided over the trial.

“A serial predator who preyed on a severely disabled child will never walk free again. This 50-year, no-parole sentence delivers the justice our most vulnerable victims deserve.”

DETAILS:
Hassan Haitham MUHSEN has ties to Collin County, including the city of Frisco, Texas. MUHSEN’s criminal history consists of arrests for Unlawful Carrying Weapon, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Capital Murder by Terror Threat/Other Felony.

The Capital Murder charge stems from MUHSEN’s alleged involvement in a Capital Murder that occurred in McKinney, Texas, in January 2025. Following MUHSEN’s arrest, he was released from jail on a $1,000,000 bond. MUHSEN is accused of cutting his ankle monitor off on April 24, 2026, and fleeing the area. The same day, a warrant for Capital Murder was issued out of Colin County for his arrest.

Our team has been actively searching for MUHSEN since he removed his ankle monitor, and we need your help locating him and spreading the word.

A reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to his arrest.

DA Greg Willis Announces 50 Year Sentence for Allen Man Convicted of Possessing 1,800 Images and Videos of Child Sexual Abuse Material

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced that Carlos Wilfredo Cruz Rivera, 41, of Allen, Texas, has been sentenced to 50 years in Prison for Possession of Child Po*******hy involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Rivera’s phone contained approximately 1,800 photos and videos that contained the illegal images, with some images of children under the age of 10.

The Crime

In June 2025, the Allen Police Department received seven CyberTip reports from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) after a user uploaded approximately 30 files of CSAM onto a cloud-based storage platform. NCMEC forwarded the tips to the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which alerted Allen PD.

The Investigation

Detective William Brewer reviewed the material, confirmed it was CSAM, and obtained administrative subpoenas and search warrants. The investigation identified Carlos Wilfredo Cruz Rivera. On July 31, 2025, Detective Brewer executed a search warrant at Rivera’s Allen residence. Detective Jared McConathy interviewed Rivera, who initially denied involvement but later admitted to possessing the material when confronted with evidence.

Forensic examination of Rivera’s seized devices revealed approximately 1,800 CSAM images and videos.

The Sentence

Cruz Rivera plead guilty to two first degree felony charges of possessing CSAM. After hearing evidence and testimony, Judge Kimberly Laseter sentenced Rivera to 50 years in prison on each charge, to run concurrently.
