September 11, 2001. Never Forgotten.

On Patriots Day, we remember and honor the lives ended by terrorists on September 11, 2001, and the courage of those who responded in the hours and days that followed.

We also honor the first responders who ran towards danger, the members of our military who answered the call, and the countless Americans who came together to support our Nation in its time of need.

We remember.

Happy Labor Day! We hope you have a safe and relaxing Monday.

DID YOU KNOW?
Although Labor Day celebrations began at the local level in the 1880s, it wasn’t until 1894 that Congress made the first Monday in September a federal holiday.

Today, we recognize the hard work and contributions of American workers. Thank you to everyone who helps keep our communities, businesses, and country moving forward.

Have a great Labor Day, Collin County!

Today marks the 25th anniversary of International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD).

This year's theme is “25 Years On. Still Needed.”

Overdose continues to impact the lives of people, families, and communities across the globe, including right here in Collin County. IOAD is a time to remember those we’ve lost, support those impacted, and recommit to preventing overdose.

You can help:

Learn the signs.
Carry naloxone.
Talk without judgment.
Share lifesaving resources.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. You don’t have to face it alone.

For our neighbors. For our community. For every life.
