"Redacted in its entirety" is not acceptable when it comes to public disclosure. But that's the only thing on the page on the public version of the contract between OpenAI and Georgia Power to supply electricity to a proposed 3.2 gigawatt data center in Effingham County outside Savannah. Take action by Aug. 26 at the link below to tell state officials at the Public Service Commission that the public deserves more information about this multi-billion dollar project!

Last week, about 30 Georgians let their U.S. Senators know how important codifying the Roadless Rule In Law is for protecting Chattahoochee National Forest from road development and extractive industry. Today we’re mailing 67 postcards encouraging them to cosponsor S.2042 Roadless Area Conservation Act. Keep up the pressure to protect our public lands! Send a message to your members of Congress at this link: https://act.sierraclub.org/actions/National?actionId=AR0569577

Join the Georgia Chapter and the Sierra Club Military Outdoors for a stupendous day trip on metro Atlanta's best-known natural resource, the Chattahoochee River. This trip will be guided by our friends at Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC). The float will cover four miles and take about 2.5 hours. We’ll start at the NOC Outpost at Johnson Ferry and will end at the NOC Powers Island outpost. Kayaks and a river will be provided by NOC. Duckies and paddle rafts will be available for our special guests upon request. On Friday, Jul 10, 2026, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Eastern).

This event is for military veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, National Guard members, military families, and civilians who hope to support the staff, volunteers, or clients of the day's partner organization, Veterans Empowerment Organization.
