UNITED WAY DICKINSON starts the season with two wins! 🥎💪 What makes this team special is that we are built on recovery, second chances, and people choosing every day to keep moving forward. This team is about more than just softball. It is about showing our community that recovery is possible, healing is possible, and life can still be filled with fun, teamwork, laughter, and purpose. Every player on this team has a story, and tonight those stories showed strength, determination, and support for one another both on and off the field. We are proud to represent recovery in a positive way while building friendships, confidence, and stronger community connections. This is just the beginning, and we are excited for the rest of the season. Recovery works, and we are proud to live that message every single day. ❤️

United Way Dickinson was honored to host our Community Baby Shower and celebrate mothers in our community. This event allowed us to support moms and babies who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to experience a baby shower. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to provide essential items for both mothers and their babies while also creating a space for connection, encouragement, and support.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make a positive impact on families in our community. Our next Community Baby Shower will be held in September 2026, and we look forward to continuing to support and celebrate mothers and babies in our community. 💙

The United Way Community Baby Shower is coming up, and we are asking for help from our amazing community! 💕

We have created Amazon and Walmart baby registries filled with essential items that will directly support low-income pregnant and postpartum mothers in our area. Every donated item helps ensure moms and babies start off with the care, comfort, and dignity they deserve.

🎁 Items Needed Include

Diapers & wipes

Baby clothing (newborn–6 months)

Bottles & feeding supplies

Baby hygiene items

Blankets & sleep essentials

Postpartum care items for moms

The United Way of Dickinson is excited to host a Community Baby Shower for local moms and families 💕

📅 Date: March 8, 2026
📍 Location: Players – Sports Bar

This baby shower is designed to support low-income pregnant and postpartum mothers in our community.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet both requirements below:

👶 Pregnancy/Postpartum

Within 3 months of due date on March 8 OR

Within 3 months postpartum

💼 Income Verification
Proof of participation in any ONE of the following state assistance programs qualifies:

EBT / SNAP

WIC

LIHEAP

Medicaid

TANF

Housing Assistance / Section 8

Participation in any of these programs deems eligibility.

🎁 Important Details

Baby Shower is limited to 10 mothers/babies

First come, first served

Once full, additional applicants will be placed on the list for the Fall 2026 Baby Shower

🍼💙🩷 Now Accepting Donated Baby Items for Our Community Baby Shower! 🩷💙🍼

United Way Dickinson is now accepting gently used baby item donations to support our upcoming Community Baby Shower! This event helps provide expecting and new parents in our community with much-needed essentials, and we can’t do it without your support.

We are currently accepting items such as:
• Baby clothes
• Blankets
• Diapers and wipes
• Bottles and feeding supplies
• Baby toys
• Other gently used baby necessities

Your generosity helps ensure every family feels supported and welcomed as they begin this new chapter.
Items can be dropped off at the United Way office— 135 Sims St suite 209, or you can reach out to the United Way team to coordinate pick up.

🗣️CALLING COMMUNITY MEMBERS — WE NEED YOU!

United Way Dickinson is gearing up for our 2026 Spring Community Baby Shower, and we’re looking for planning committee members to help make this event meaningful and memorable 💐

This year, we will be sponsoring 10 pregnant or up to 3-month postpartum mothers in our community. The date and location are already secured, and now we’re building the team that will help bring everything together.

Our planning committee will be working alongside Shaylyn, Taylor, and Kara to help with ideas, coordination, donations, decorations, and overall event planning. Whether you’re great at organizing, love helping families, or just want to give back — we’d love to have you!
