πŸΌπŸ’™ The United Way Fall Community Baby Shower is BACK! πŸ’™πŸΌ

We are so excited to announce that our Fall Community Baby Shower will be held September 27th! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘Ά

At the United Way, we try to host two Community Baby Showers each year so we can reach expecting and postpartum mamas who may not have qualified for or been able to participate in our previous shower.

πŸ’• It truly takes a village!

We are incredibly proud of our community and so thankful for the donors, businesses, organizations, and individuals who continue to show up for local moms and babies. Your generosity helps us remind new mothers that they have a community standing behind them. ❀️

🧸 We are currently accepting donations of gently used baby items and new baby essentials!
Diapers, wipes, clothing, blankets, bottles, baby gear, postpartum supplies, and other useful baby items are greatly appreciated.

But this shower is about more than baby supplies! 🌸

As parents ourselves, we understand that pregnancy, bringing home a new baby, and the postpartum period can be exciting, overwhelming, stressful, and sometimes a little scary. That’s why we also want to connect our baby shower mamas with resources, services, support, and information that can make this transition a little easier.

πŸ“£ Community providersβ€”we would love to hear from you!
If you offer resources that could benefit expecting or postpartum mothers, please reach out! We would especially love information about:

✨ Daycare and childcare options
✨ Postpartum support
✨ Parenting resources
✨ Breastfeeding and feeding support
✨ Mental health and wellness resources
✨ Baby and family programs
✨ Community services and financial resources

And mamasβ€”we want your ideas too! πŸ’• If there was a resource, service, product, or piece of support that made pregnancy or postpartum easier for you, tell us about it! Your suggestion might be exactly what another mom needs.

πŸ“ž For more information, to donate, or to share a resource, please contact Shaylyn, Taylor, or Heather at the United Way.

Let’s come together once again to support our mamas, love on some babies, and show just how amazing our community can be! πŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ’—

Thank you, Governor Kelly Armstrong, for making a decision that has the potential to save lives and protect families across our state. While we know this change will be welcomed by many, We also recognize that it may be incredibly difficult for others.

There will be individuals who suddenly find themselves facing withdrawal after using kratom and other kratom substances, and that can be a frightening and overwhelming experience. If that is you, or someone you love, please know that you do not have to go through it alone.

If you need support, guidance, or help connecting with treatment, recovery services, or other local resources, please reach out to United Way Dickinson. We are here to listen, help you navigate the next steps, and connect you with the support you need.

Recovery is possible, and asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Together, we can help more people find hope, healing, and a healthier future.

Please share this post so it reaches someone who may need it. ❀️ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1djjvgrPJH/

******Road Trip Today*****
Today, the United Way Dickinson team had the privilege of visiting β€œHome on the Range” Juvenile Facility to share our stories of hope, resilience, and second chances.
Our message was simple: Your past does not determine your future. No matter where you are today, you have the ability to change your life and build a successful future.
Thank you to the youth and staff for allowing us to be part of your journey.

UNITED WAY DICKINSON starts the season with two wins! πŸ₯ŽπŸ’ͺ What makes this team special is that we are built on recovery, second chances, and people choosing every day to keep moving forward. This team is about more than just softball. It is about showing our community that recovery is possible, healing is possible, and life can still be filled with fun, teamwork, laughter, and purpose. Every player on this team has a story, and tonight those stories showed strength, determination, and support for one another both on and off the field. We are proud to represent recovery in a positive way while building friendships, confidence, and stronger community connections. This is just the beginning, and we are excited for the rest of the season. Recovery works, and we are proud to live that message every single day. ❀️

United Way Dickinson was honored to host our Community Baby Shower and celebrate mothers in our community. This event allowed us to support moms and babies who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to experience a baby shower. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to provide essential items for both mothers and their babies while also creating a space for connection, encouragement, and support.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make a positive impact on families in our community. Our next Community Baby Shower will be held in September 2026, and we look forward to continuing to support and celebrate mothers and babies in our community. πŸ’™
