🛹 Ages 6-17 years old are welcome to join from 6-9pm at Independence Skate Park as we kick off summer with games, competition, prizes and more!

Park Pop Ups are back! Tuesdays at Dennis the Menace Park, come enjoy a variety of FREE entertainment and activities!

Tomorrow, June 9th, is our very first Park Pop Up of the year! ✨ Come by at 2pm for our character meet and greet! Meet your favorite characters in the park and stick around to enjoy our playground 🤗

Here's the event lineup for the rest of the summer:

🐦 June 16th: Birdhouse Craft @ 2pm

👩‍🔬 June 23rd: Science Show @ 2pm

✨ June 30th: Windchime Craft @ 2pm

🐍 July 7th: Reptile Show (2 time slots!) @ 2pm AND 2:45pm

🎨 July 14th: Paint in the Park (2 time slots for different age groups!) @ 2pm for ages 3+, and 3pm for ages 10+

It’s finally June! This is What’s Going Down in Downey! 👋🏼

Camp Downey kicks off on the 8th! Registration for future weeks is open now! Spots are limited, register online, over the phone, or in person today! 🌳

Playground Adventures’ extended summer hours also begin on the 8th! We offer this free program at 3 of our parks, register over the phone or in person at our Parks office or Parks and Recreation Department office! 🛝

Park Pop Ups are back on Tuesdays this summer, and at Dennis the Menace Park! Pause for this season’s lineup, or go to our page for the full lineup post! 🧡

ASTRO has both Stellar Tuesdays and a Summer Luau Dance this month! Go to our website for more info! ⭐️

At the this month there are 2 shows you won’t want to miss! Yacht Rock the Dock and Devotional: the Depeche Mode Experience. 🎭
