Honor. Share. Celebrate. 🇺🇸

Three simple words that guide every Honor Flight mission and help ensure our veterans receive the recognition and gratitude they have earned through their service to our country.

From the moment the day begins until long after the mission concludes, guardians and support staff work to create an unforgettable experience for every veteran. These heroes deserve to be celebrated, honored, and thanked for the sacrifices they made on behalf of our nation.

While Mission #153 has come to an end, the work of Honor Flight Columbus, Inc. continues. Planning and preparation are already underway for future missions because as long as there are veterans to serve, there will be missions to honor them.

Thank you to our firefighters for their year-round fundraising efforts, our community for its incredible support, and most importantly, our veterans for their service and sacrifice.

Mission #153 is complete. We’re grateful, we’re proud, and we’re ready for the next mission. Here’s a look inside the day! 🇺🇸✈️❤️

Honor Flight Mission #153 ✔️ 🇺🇸✈️

There are simply not enough words to express our gratitude for this crew.

These 13 individuals helped create an unforgettable experience for veterans receiving their Honor Flight yesterday. For many, it was their first time visiting Washington, D.C. and seeing the memorials built in their honor.

The day is all about the veterans, and as guardians and medics, it is so important to make it the very best experience possible. This crew did exactly that. We know our crew doesn’t do it for the credit, but we want them to know how proud we are. 🍀 🚒🦟

We’re going through hundreds of photos and can’t wait to share more from Mission #153!

Last night at the Board of Trustees meeting, Trustee Harris had the honor of swearing in the Washington Township Fire Department’s four newest firefighters in front of their family and friends.

Following the oath of the department, each firefighter was pinned by a family member, making the evening even more special.

Please join us in officially welcoming Arthur Green, Colten Hinch, Jaxon Swank, and Blake Wilfong to the Washington Township Fire Department. We are excited to have them on our team and look forward to the impact they will make serving our community.

Congratulations and welcome to the family!

On World Bicycle Day, we’re proud of the role our Washington Township Fire Department Bike Patrol plays in keeping our community safe.

During large-scale events, including the Memorial Tournament, our bike patrol team can quickly navigate through crowds and areas that may be difficult for traditional emergency vehicles to access. This allows our crews to reach people faster when every second counts and provide immediate assistance during emergencies. 🚲 🍀 🚒
